Ship him already!!!!

 

I still like what I see here. I wouldn't call the sculpt soft. What pieces of detail they picked out looks great. Challenger looks very sharp in person. While the details are not 100% spot on to the CGI model, they capture the essence of the design and are complex yet fun transformers.

 

He just needs an opening mouth and/or teeth-bared glaring face! Don't drop the ball on this, UT!

 

I'm pretty sure that's just because of the perspective. The height difference looks right when he's dragging Optimus through the Knight Ship.

 

I don't think "soft" is quite the right word. More like "shallow". He's got the right surface shapes, but there's no layering, depth, or texturing to the details like what you see in the official figures. Makes it look like a blown-up Voyager toy in terms of detailing, rather than a true Masterpiece. I had the same general issue with their Lockdown (hadn't bothered with their Prime). Ultimately, that toy became my "Leader-Class" Lockdown, and not my "Masterpiece" Lockdown where most of his fans would place him.

 

I just saw this on Instagram, i really hope that blast effect comes with it I really loved that in the leader TLK Megatron

 

I rather hope so, too. But those flames also resemble some of the Tamashii effect accessories from S.H. Figuarts/Bandai Spirits. Can anyone confirm this?

 

No chance it does. This is a screenshot from an independent review, not something from UT. I would love it too (I wish more figures in general came with effect pieces).

 

As Much as I'd love effect pieces, as long as the sword and shield come I'll be happy, even if they done incorporate into the jet mode (though I'd be surprised if they didn't some how).

Well i went through tfs-express and ordered looking at 139.99 or so with shipping. Way better than the 169 I've been seeing.

 

I'm gonna wait for ShowZ since I already have a premium account there but shame that they haven't announced a full price yet since they have a sale event today.

The dead eyes hurt the figure like their Prime. I know its for the LEDs but its not worth the trade off imo.

 

So there are LEDs in this Megs?

 

There is no LEDs in the head due to the mask change mechanism.

 

some company can always make led lit or more detailed heads for all these figures.
