    QUESTION:

The front blue section of the bike mode (lower left leg) connects to the knee joint via a black strut piece. Is the connection between the blue piece and the strut just held together by friction or is there supposed to be a metal pin through those two pieces to hold them together? Mine does not have a pin but looks like it should and consequently it all holds together just OK but tends to fall apart during transformation when you're twisting that section around and fiddling with it. Can anyone confirm for me if there should be a pin through there or not?

    No, I don't think these'll crack. They're pretty thick.

That, plus I'm not entirely sure they're actual rubber, but more that rubbery feeling plastic that's been used lately.

If it's the rubbery plastic, that's good. If it's straight up rubber, it'll die in time and that sucks.

Does anyone know if GI Joes can scale well with Salmoore to ride him?

I don't know how big a GI Joe is... I think 4"? I think he's probably too big for Joes. I'll have to look on my computer later, but I have pictures of MMC's Vos riding him.

No. He'd be comically oversized to go with a 3.75" figure. The average joe's head would barely clear the top of salmore's handlebars when standing beside him.

I was thinking the same thing except Cocamone and Sandstorm. For once patience won out for me.

I have rubber LEGO tires from 1970s, still just as good as they originally were. Depends on the kind of rubber used.

Still debating whether to get Salmoor on sale. What are the main pros/cons?

    Ebay:
    Pros:

    It's Cy-Kill.
    Voyager-sized.
    Excellent bike mode.
Stylized, but in a way that works.
Cheaper than the much smaller Bike Robo figure that came out last year.

    Cons:

The shoulders don't lock, they just rely on friction to stay in place. Of course, you could see that as a pro, since it gives him a backward butterfly joint.
    No wrist swivels.
Getting his arms out of bike bike mode requires you to fold them out and turn the shoulder in a particular way to get the clearance you need. Once you know what you're doing it's fine, but it's tricky the first few times.

Like I said earlier, I bought Salmoore for $80 and I have zero regrets. I think he'd be a bargain at $50. At $35 he's a no-brainer; only reason not to buy him is because you only have $34.

I bought him at around 45 bucks thanks to an Ebay coupon. No complaints. Post above nails it.

I've liked him since he was first introduced, but I can't pay third party prices very often. I was going to jump on him on this clearance, but held back after ordering Splinter and Soundmixer instead. But I couldn't ignore this ringing endorsement and now have him preordered.
