Probably a weird question with no answers.... but do we know if this is by the same designer who's responsible for the previous figures? I feel like this person, or persons design and engineering is what made UT so beloved. They were going to shut down after some dispute, but now they're back again. I wonder who's designing this?

 

I don't like Knightverse designs at all besides Shatter and Dropkick, I am not against Knightverse figures to exist, but imo UT's engineering prowess can be used on more complex designs rather than wasting it on hyper detailed G1 designs.

 

I guess is the same person.

I do remember see this post on baidu a few days ago, it confirms it's the same designer all the time, actually it's UT's boss, so he can never quit the job. (probably 6 months ago UT announced finished it was the closest thing he stopped doing the work).

 

They weren’t going away due to copyright, they literally said their designer was leaving/taking a break and that’s why they were done. The designer is back so they are back at it. Them being at risk of being raided was just a bunch of people panicking over WJ’s death.

 

The first is not transformable. No need to mention it. None of rest are good. Hasbro MPM is the best but still needs a lot of improvements. So sad and disappointed since the design is considered simple ...

 

How do you know Knightverse stuff is more dangerous than Bayverse stuff? Any source or evidence?

 

Just the assumption that having them be currently used in the movies somehow puts 3p at more risk, despite that not being a factor in whether or not they get taken down.

 

Man, this looks fantastic. So glad to see Unique Toys aren't completely out of the game like we were initially told. I was considering the Alien Attack figure but I'd definitely take this one without a second thought. Unique Toys have been pretty consistent in producing solid, enjoyable figures. I'll probably throw down a deposit for this somewhere in the next few days, hopefully the final price doesn't exceed the $200 mark

I hope this opens up the floodgates for them to do more figures from the original trilogy. I'd love to see their take on a Sentinel Prime or Brawl

 

Except they never where, so don't act like you know for absolute certainty that UT won't go for anything other than Bay designs cause you don't like it if they did, rather than them simply going where the money is like they did with Knight Prime and the AOE/TLK designs, especially considering they started with G1 designs before going to a very open market.

 

Dang, was hoping this guy would be a bit smaller than the AAT one, cause 32/33cm still seems too big (for me at least, not sure where the scale discussion landed).

Also who would've thought we'd see the day that UT was the less blocky one? At least from the back.

They do... The G1 stuff wasn't a problem... The unwanted attention bringed by a raid was.

I know some information some people on weibo have told me, but I can prove prove anything with certainty.

Yours or my opinion doesn't matter in the end, but I am almost sure UT won't make any Knightverse design in a near future... In fact, I will ask them about it...

 

Didn't stop Toyworld from releasing their 3A scaled BB Prime at the same time as 3A's Prime.


I think this "Knightverse stuff is more dangerous" is one of the most weakest arguments here. Does UT want to make Knightverse designs? Maybe maybe not. Do they have plans for Knightverse stuff? Very doubtful cause Megatron is their first figure back. Is anything stopping them from doing Knightverse designs? Not at all.

No 3P company wants attention from a raid. All of them went on hold as a precaution, but they were never verge of being raided for copyright.

 

I recall rumors about the guy quitting over not being paid are just that, rumors. There were also rumors of Transcraft formed by former UT designers.

 

Watching this, the wheel of the tank is wrong in the UT version. And a curious thing is that the front wheels in vehicle mode of the AA version are correct but wrong in robot mode. It happens just the opposite case in UT version, front wheels in vehicle mode are wrong but are the correct ones in robot mode

 

Can someone tell me now talk is their galvatron? I have it but what is their official height for UT galvy
