I think the early protos nothing was actually attached to each other...now that it is coming to finalization, we might be getting less and less articulation. I don't like the crack that I see in this gray flap though.

This character, for this and AAT (we can discount ET now right) is probably one of the most difficult decisions to make for the non money bags...me btw.  

 

Hmm I think the feet not angled there is due to his toe being on that thing on the platform.

I just don't think UT would give us a figure without an ankle tilt. These pics also kind of show a bit of his feet at an angle, but its hard to tell.

 

Yeah, it's the 3A figure back because there's no scene showing his back in the movie.

But, wanna know something crazy? Alien Attacks version is cheaper than UT's Special Paint version.
Also, can we get this design with great articulation and accuracy at a cheaper price for once?

 

This is from TCP tho right? Because they always charge insane prices. That 3p starscream was only $130 everywhere and then American retailers where charging $200 for it. But yeah… starting feel like I just flat out won’t get to buy either of these figures. Favorite Megatron design of them all, but insane prices are insane prices.

 

ShowZ doesn’t have a final price yet, but normally Chinese retailers are generally less expensive than US. Same thing happened with Nero I think

 

I'd honestly be shocked if Showz's price wasn't cheaper than TCP's, as that's how it normally is with most 3P.

 

I expect something around 240-260$ for the normal edition and ~300 for the extra painted (from Chinese retailers). My question is how much painted in terms of rust and weathering the premium version is going to be, compared to normal one as well as ATT Mackron (which already is very impressive  ) Also I wonder if UT is going to show us painted prototypes before ATT's release...

Same here this is my favorite movie Megatron design (TLK is a favorite at well) but yeah that is too much for a figure this size and just in general.

 

Anything over $200 is already too much. Remember when people complained about TW’s Optimus being $170-$200 and were complaining “get rid of the accessories, it’s increasing the price”. Now all of a sudden its ok for everything to be super high with only the figure and 1 weapon.

 

This is the problem we created. When the 3rd party market started to boom during late 2019 they competed at prices no one could argue against. Now they've basically knocked out TT/Hasbro since there's no way a single design studio can keep up with dozens of competitors and guess what...they now sell at prices we said "no way" to, but there's nothing we can do about it.

 

There is something we can do about it, not buy it. But usually everyone is too impatient and too rich to care.

 

Hmmmmm, well AAT is going for 259.99 at showz and it has rusty paint and stuff. So probably UT normal edition might be around 200 or something.

 

I mean Newage Mista Soundwave price has gone down a little…
But everyone worried about missing a genuine unique entry from the 3p arena with juuuust enough disposable income will keep edging the prices higher, and now with shipping internationally being risky and costly, we’re likely to keep seeing inflation unless we really stop preordering $300 figures.
