Got mine yesterday. Beautiful figure. I'm so glad I replaced El Cid with this.

It's supposedly from a second run (TFS Express words), came with the bonus parts and issuefree smokestacks (they move freely while keeping enough friction not to feel loose and looking at the mushroom pegs through the holes, it seems like the spruemarks/nubs were removed nice and clean).

It still has the shield peg issue and loose forward-backward leg movements though. Gonna have to take it apart and see if I can strengthen them.

 

Wait, ....so you mean it can be a good idea to NOT have to be the first one to have a figure immediately after it releases? Say it ain't so!

 

I have been holding out ordering this guy from Toy Dojo since I have a preorder in at TCP and he is $5 cheaper there. It is getting really tough since this is one of my most anticipated figures for the year. TCP doesn't even list in their latest news letter that they are expecting him in soon. If TCP doesn't receive him in by the end of the week I may just bite the bullet and order from Toy Dojo.

 

I ended up cancelling mine from Chosen Prime due to the QC issues. They replied letting me know they requested that their stock be second run, but have not had confirmation if that will be the case or not. If they do get second run they'll update the listing.

 

I canceled from TCP way back in March and switched to showz. I felt bad but then again I’ve had my Challenger for weeks now already. Then again I also had the smoke stack break issue but they’re sending me replacement parts.

 

So does anyone know if the stock that TFSource just got yesterday is first run or second run?

Robotkingdom can't give me a timeframe on if they will ever be able to ship me the missing parts from my original, so I pulled the trigger to get a second one in the states. At least with this go around I know TFsource will be able to help me out if anything is wrong.

 

Ours do include the bonus items. We don't inspect product by opening the package unless requested by the buyer  

 

Interesting, if the QC is better and they fix the issues with the smokestack, then it’s probably worth the wait since it’s a less hassle for all sides to get a replacement parts and wait for it to arrive, so the delay doesn’t really make a big difference in the end.

 

That’s a good question. I just got my notice from TFSource as well. I’m not too worried as I don’t plan on transforming him because I’m waiting to order a second figure later in the future for that.

 

Ironically, what I'm more worried about is the upper section of the smokestack - the parts that protrude over the top of the cab and/or his shoulders. On mine at least they're each only held on to the central assembly at the outermost of the stacks and they seem quite wobbly. On the one hand that gives them more flex when I'm moving the shoulderpads back and forth, but on the other I wonder what kind of bump it'd take to loosen them completely.

 

Just got an email saying he's been shipped..only a few more days now!!!

 

Oh I hope they get a 2nd run of it,I have no problem ordering from them and hope they list it on their website.

 

Hmm, well I have mine ordered from The Chosen Prime and if they are planning on getting a second run of them then I might wait, because I really don't want to have to mess with the smoke stacks on him.

I contacted TCP today about their ETA on this guy and Brandon's response was this " We did suggest to UT that we get the items from the second batch, but we do not know when that will be yet. They have not given us a firm response yet." So I am guessing they won't be getting their shipment anytime soon.

Ahhh, okay so I guess they probably won't have their's until the end of the month maybe. Oh well I guess I'll just wait until they get their's then so I won't end up with one of the defective ones. I've waited this long whats another couple of weeks.
