I don't mind this at all actually. I like how BMB does it where you don't even know something exists until it's a month or two away from release. Some anticipation and speculation is fun but it's no longer fun for me to look at grey prototype images or blurry renders for a year or more. How do others feel about this?

 

I like when companies reveal things and take feedback on them to change. Quick reveals and releases are cool, until you can't change anything. Of course I despise when companies are like FT, XTB, or AAT where they reveal/show prototypes for years on end and drag it out way too long.

 

That would be great except you’d have to do that in the render stage, which would be at least a year before something actually releases, which means really long wait times. Also you’d probably have to be a Chinese speaking weibo user for them to know what you wanted, not just someone who bitches on TFW like we do. But theoretically that would be nice.

 

Eh depends on the change, Zeta took feedback on the wings for their blitzwing and added a folding panel delaying the figure by only a few weeks or a month at most. Some changes can be made very quickly.

 

I don't mind it, as long as there are 3p companies making Bayformers.

 

For General 3P Products, I can only say:
People should stop being Cowards.
And I mean Customers, too.

I remember, always when a Combiner gets released, how People say "NOT Computron, NOT Devastator"
Like People feel the Wrath of Hasbro, if they shout out the Characters name to loud. Pathetic.

Haha, I could say 3P "Specific Name" All day. I could even stand in Front of Hasbro Building and shout "UT Galvatron" or "Devastator Combiner" an entire Week.

That would not change the Fact that Hasbro in Terms of Law, could not even touch you for this.

This is how I feel about this as a player from China:Our business of two countries don't have a balanced relationship on this yet,if Hasbro don't try to improve their quality genuinely or reduce budget.then no doubt the 3rd parties will take all their market and they will suffer a depression.but if 3rd parties keep poaching talent from Hasbro(specially from the movies),that would cause the same result.

The Hasbro and 3rd parties are actually having the symbiotic relationship on some degree,no matter we like it or not.And in this circumstance,no one would beat down one other,or no one should.

These 3rd parties have realized that as well.So they are considering to quit this area for a while and doing some domestic products for local market.They would still be back.But not before Hasbro start making profit.

So we might have to see a situation like this:Hasbro would dominate the market for a couple years and 3rd parties would keep their heads down as well,and then few years later is the other way around.They need a privity on this.

as for KOs of 3rd parties.don't forget how you get 3rd at the first beginning,Kos of 3rd parties are just a damage to them,and even a second damage to Hasbro.So don't get too excited about cheap 3rd KOs.

I agreed, KO are not good for the hobby in the long run.

Money should flow from us to the 3p companies that produce the original molds... We should not feed parasites, unless the KO is a vast improvement over a failed figure (MPM-4). Black Apple's "KOs" were a good example of a 4p company doing the right thing.

 

I definitely say support the 3p, but I also don't really give a shit if a KO is made of something that's no longer in production. The company had its chance to make money off it already.
