I might be misremembering Galvatron's face but does anyone else think his face here looks a little vertically stretched?

it does look a bit longer than I remember...

was looking at under the feet pic, quite interesting they have 3 tires there, also for once we have really high resolution pics of a prototype and it really impress the hell out of me how well 3d printing works now for these

    ....this is MPM scale...

In the movie he transforms by falling apart into a tsunami of Lego bricks and then reassembles himself in either bot or alt mode, why would he even bother with having alt mode bits on his body anyway.

And in G1 most characters had little to none visible kibble as well.

Sideswipe turns into a lambo, but in bot mode the only visible car parts are his chest and the windscreen on his back.
Wheeljack has windows on his chest and the car front end is his feet, when they transform most of the car just folds out and appears out of nowhere....
And these are just two examples.

Personally I love the movie designs, but I also find it very impressive if they can engineer a transformer that is mostly kibble free in bot mode, to such an extent that you can't actually tell what it's alt mode is.

That's just my opinion anyway, you are totally free with yours obviously. :)

This only applies to those who prefer 100% slavish accuracy to the cartoon animation models, and if you haven't noticed, there's no shortage at all of people complaining about it. And the only reason the designs have most of their kibble removed or simplified beyond recognition isn't because it's a stylistic choice, but because the animation models couldn't be detailed enough to faithfully evoke the plentiful kibble on the toys because it was an animated 80's cartoon. Not everyone remembers G1 characters as vague piles of boxes just because that's what the cartoon characters look like.
