Yeah but I don't really get why you are critical though? Surely you can appreciate the engineering at work here?

Sadly, this is true and pretty much why I'll only be appreciating this one from a distance...

I'll never understand why so many people dislike AOE Galvatron's design. I think he looks cool.

It’s a great robot design, just not a great Transformers robot design.

Whilst you are right, if the transformation was screen accurate, people would complain to hell and back about it being a partsformer....

    Can't please everyone unfortunately :(

I'm really digging this figure so far.. I have the Hasbro Voyager and for the past few years its felt like not even they liked the figure due to how bland it was overall.. As one of the big bad's of the film I thought for sure he'd be a leader class with some lights and sounds and have a completely non-film accurate weapon to go along with him.. So you can imagine my disappointment when they gave us... Well, that.. Lol

But this figure? Not only does he look more screen accurate and a fantastic mold all around, but he actually has those blades on his forearms and the missile pods in his truck mode! And since he comes with a mini figure, it makes me wonder if the cab can open up at the sides and have you stuff the little guy inside? I look forward to this figure's final design.

    There you go.

Actually, a AoE Lego Galvatron would be incredibly accurate...

Crumbs. Unique toys at it again.

Can someone show them the triple changer cg renders of shatter and dropkick?

impressive but IMO AOE galvy was a truly ugly design. i wonder if originally they meant for it to transform in a traditional way but ran out of budget so they used the rubiks cube transformation...thats why the kibble ends up in places where its possible for UT to "figure it out" how it was suppposed to be.

To be fair even what's his name (stanly Tucci's character) didn't like AOE Galvatron, he was meant to look like the Evasion Mode Optimus repaint from the evolution 2 pack (based on the image on the screen in the background of that scene).
How they got that design when, presumably Optimus assumed that design specifically to escape human pursuit I haven't a clue.
