UT have really sold their souls to the devil.

 

I was hoping it was another company, cause surprise surprise, UT isn’t known for their sculpting or smoothness, especially compared to other companies like TW. And sculpting with smooth curves is what these AOE designs need. They seem to at least have improved a bit in these fields, but I remain skeptical.

(also someone tell them that the hands they use with joined fingers is fucking outdated!!)

 

Not bad at all, but I don't want particleformes...

But I know @Seth Sunthay was looking forward to this!

 

This isn't a positive, but I find it oddly adorable how compressed his facial features are. That's a big but tight fucking helmet  

 

Well, looks pretty detailed and curvy to me. Plus it has a truck mode that looks like a truck; they didn't give up half way like them sharp folks at TW did with their OP.

If anything UT skimps on the paint. Give any of their movie bots some pait washes and they would look a ton better.

What the hell is this...completely inaccurate......The only way to do Galvy is if it was made by Legos!

 

I changed my comments (after you quoted me it seems) to “I’ll remain skeptical”. I just can’t see past how nice their dragoon looked in proto pics and then we found out the proportions were wrong and he was severely under detailed.

But the main thing that angers me is the constant use of their webbed finger design. How do you have such great engineering yet such garbage hand design. Its An outdated design that looks really bad.

 

I really didn't like the idea of transformium... Such advance technology developed by humans?! I felt quite relieved that they scraped that in TLK.

 

Funny thing is, unlike Dragoon who is too lanky, this guy is a bit squat.

 

One of the most (if not THE most) ridiculous ideas ever....Flying Legos....i mean...this idea is so stupid it cant even make it to a cartoon yet it made it to that movie

As far as criticism for this figure my only one so far is that the wheels of the truck (especially the front ones) look small

 

The truck doors can be opened to have the bald one inside I guess.

 

I feel like this is an improvement on their usual shallow or lack of detail. But I am quite happy to see this! I have a soft spot for AOE Galvatron and this looks fantastic!

Lets see Hasbro try this in Studio Series...

 

Drat. Been looking forward to their next figure, and the engineering looks ingenious as usual... but I just can't stand that Galvatron design. Was hoping for TLK Barricade.

Oh well. Not every figure is made for me; happy for those that like this character. And their TLK Megs still looks awesome, so I can't complain too much!

Well damn. Guess Unique Toys didn't like being known for a lack of sculpted detail. They seem to improve for every figure they make.
