You might like to clarify that.

You mean like, "never owning a duplicate of a mold", or something like that?

I am a completist for many of the lines, so I try to get at least one of each unique figure. However, for some really expensive older (or current) items I don't have, I justify not getting a repaint if I already have one of the same unique mold. For example, I have been wanting TFTM Leader Brawl for a long time, and I finally got one just a few weeks ago (the original) for a decent price here on the boards. I do not want to spend the money it would take to also get a Deep Desert Brawl, so I am justifying not getting that one since I now have one version of the mold, which satisfies me.

Similar story for the Vector Prime mold- I didn't have any, but I liked how it looked and wanted to try it out. Since there are three versions of that mold, I picked the cheapest (complete) one I could find and bought it so I could experience that mold (and I like it!). Don't feel the need to get the other two now.

Also, as nice as he looks, I am not going to get Black Rodimus Convoy due to the price, and due to the fact that I have the original mold.

Is that similar to what you are talking about?

exzactly I have 2 versons of vector prime but i wanted 1 for my cybertron show cast line and 1 for the orginal 13 lol

i myself try and get as many uniqe molds as possible but at the same time i like completeing the cast characters so if there are characters who share the same mold i will pick that mold up a secound time...

i was a bit confused by the subject, too.
like i instantly thought of Ejector, Divebomb (RotF) and even TFA Wreck-Gar as unique molds.

i collect one of each mold unless it is really great to me (TFA Blackout or Universe Cyclonus) or it is like the Sweeps/Junkion mold where having at just one more isn't a bad idea.

although i would love to army build that Divebomb mold- just never found it anywhere, lol.
