Shapeways is not known for being speedy with production. I have the prototypes in hand and here are some pictures. We have tweaked the files a bit for the Galvatron ship as you will see the pointy bits are too thin. But they fit great!!! 9/7/11 Update. Twisty ship modeling is done. This sucker is not easy to model. We need to tweak a few things and find a way for it to plug onto the unicron rings. 9/6/11 Update: Reworked the escape pod model. Im working with my friend and we are going to make some unicron upgrades. We plan to make the following: Escape pod Galvatron's ship Bumble Bee and Spikes escape ship Hot Rod's twisty cruiser These will be roughly 1.5 inches in length otherwise scale versions might be a little too tiny. First up is the Escape pod 3D model. The first model is for show accuracy. This next model is for playability. Thanks. Im waiting for my Amazon Unicron. Im gonna see if I can somehow use Kranix's gun as a stand for the ships to hover right above Unicron's mouth in planet mode. So it looks like the ship is being sucked right into it.
Probably SW because the model is a little complex and the tiny size, I dont want to lose detail from the recasting. Plus lowers the cost a bit, dont have to bother with recasting supplies.
These are going to be a great addition to any Unicron display, especially with the clear unicron stand from brownnoise. I want in on this, "no matter the cost"! Edabang

color me interested, just got my amazon unicron and was one of the lucky ones that has fitting mouth parts. You would have thought, since they are promoting the movie, habsor would have thought of this themselves.....
