Could Unicron be returning.... AS CYBERTRON?!

 

I doubt that's cybertron. I also doubt it's unicron. I believe it is the creator's planet, trying to cyberform earth

 

When I first seen the trailer, I also wondered was that Unicron.

 

I think it's Quintessa, due to this:

1. It's as messed up as Quintessa.
2. It's tentacled like the Quints.
3. It's techno-organic.
4. The Quints have been confirmed.

So, for now I'm going with it being Quintessa as it reminds me more of that planet than Unicron.  

PS.: In the trailer it also looks more like it parks beside the moon, not doing anything to it.  

 

You might be right. If that was Unicron, it would have been confirmed by now.

 

They never said they were Quintessons, they could be entirely different aliens. All we know is that one of their aliases is "the creators". Also, who ever said these aliens have tentacles, for all we saw is a hand in Transformers AOE. Also, the planet isn't techno-organic. And the core appears to be dark matter, and Quintessa is a dead planet. This planet seems to have sentience, looking for planets to gain mass (this is one of the things that point to Unicron for me at least. The other is this the link I provided.) It only looks like it's doing nothing to the moon because think how far the moon is from Earth. You'd hardly be able to notice the planetoid moving. Then it heads for Earth (as seen in the poster with evil Optimus, which also hints at the link I provided).

 

Just because it wasn't confirmed, doesn't mean it isn't Unicron. Patience is a virtue.

 

The hexagons around the planet looks a lot like Cybertron's from DOTM.

 

Why yes they do. But that darkened core with tentacles could also point to Unicron. He could be trying to gain mass and those pieces hanging by the tentacles look like mandibles, like Unicron from G1 in his planet mode.

 

I dunno, the plot leak did mention that Cybertron is a dead planet and that they've found a way to ressurrect it (again). So it seems that the thing that's key to the plot is nothing else but Cybertron,

 

I've also thought that the creators may well end up being a complete different race than the quintessons

 

No they did, through the set interviews. That's where we got the Quintessons confirmation along with a whole lot of other story info I believe.

 

Nothing shows them being called Quintessons. What I meant was that yes they were confirmed but it might be a new race entirely.

 

Maybe it's towards the end of the film when they exorcise Unicron out of Cybertron, if that's the case.

 

I'd be satisfied if it was Unicron, though Its possible it could be something else entirely.

 

Some of the set leaks did specifically mention the Quintessons as the creators.

 

There are greenery and earth on that planet, so it's techno-organic. And the Quints was confirmed. The planet in the trailer don't look like how Unicron is in that link either. And the moon is intact in all of the shots we see the planet as well.
About the Quints being tentacled; Their ships had tentacles in AOE. Thus it make sense their planet has too.  
Also, I don't see any darkmatter there, only shadows that makes the core look black. Time will tell.  

True, but I hope it's not Unicron as that is to do a combination of spacecloud and Energon show; The worst representation of him (can't transform and is barely sentient instead of a character).

That is what I talk about then I said the Quints are confirmed.  

Precisely, and then we see the hand in AOE, it's techno-organic.  

Anyway, like said above; I hope it's not Unicron as he deserves a better representation.   And due to what I have mentioned; I believe the planet is Quintessa instead.  
Just because it did not move in the cartoons, does not mean it can't move in the movies.
Dead planets has moved before in the cartoons, due to various means.  

EDIT: Just another thought; If Unicron were to show up that close to Earth this movie, then they have to defeat him this movie as they can't have Earth destroyed. When what? We can't go bigger than Unicron.
Thus; If he's in this movie, which is a big if, then it would be better that he's not so close to Earth as not to waste a great opportunity and such, if you get what I mean.  

 

Errr.....so why would they have spaceships if they can pilot their entire planet, that's almost like saying earth looks like a space shuttle or humans have leaves because the earth has trees, I think it's going to be more complex than the stuff we're used to movies and animation wise. I still have a sneaky feeling that they've may have woven the back story of rom space knight into the history of the transformers and we could have quints but not necessarily as creators and I am not sure if the war spoken of is between maybe two extra galactic races maybe quints have taken over the roles of dire wraiths or whatever they're called in rom.....anyway back on topic....I think that's Planet X in some fashion I've said this before

 

I still don't think the creators are gonna be called Quintessons. I found nothing that says them being called Quintessons, just the creators. And I also keep finding a boat load of speculation. But just in case, can someone find me a source where it actually calls the creators Quintessons because all I keep getting online is just speculation.
