Well. That was an interesting ending. There was some stuff I liked, some stuff that was lame, but overall it was a pretty good send off.

That final splash-page was damn good.

It's going to take a long time to sink in and process, but all I can say for now, is that you can feel the passion from the full creative team. It shows on the page, and I really think they nailed the landing.

I need to put on my headphones, slam on some Gunship and read that again. That was pretty fucking brilliant.

Wowie, that's a lot to process. I mean, I liked it, but daaaamn, you can do a lot in 40 pages, can't you?

A huge thank you and tip of the hat to John, Alex, Sara, Andrew, Kei, and anyone and everyone else who worked on this behemoth (not just this particular issue, but the whole damn mini). You all did outstanding work here, and all of that energy and passion and creativity you put into this is clear and well worth it. Thank you all so much for everything you've done!

    As for spoilery thoughts...
    - Holy shit. That mosaic Soundwave sees of everyone that's died recently is GORGEOUS, and so heartbreakingly beautiful. Rung! Ravage! Skids! Wheeljack! Kup! Dirge! Sideswipe! It's too much for me ;~;
    - Soundwave's sacrifice was beautiful and sad. He's really come into his own these last couple years, being more than just the quiet loyal servant, so seeing him sacrifice himself to save that unity he fought so long for, really helps bring him full circle.
    - I was not expecting that from Starscream! It honestly took me a moment to realize what actually happened. But, he did it the only way a Starscream, this Starscream, ever would.
    - And Optimus. Orion. He lived under the weight and expectations that being a Prime entailed, but he died in defiance to that lineage. Hope. Unity. Compassion. That's what being a leader, a Prime, is really about. That's who Optimus is.
    - Thundercracker lives! I'm happy.
    - Bob, DoC, and Buster playing together is so goddamned cute, I can't stand it.
    - And that final page is absolutely beautiful and joyous. I love it.
    - Like hell a "reinforced" room would survive a crashing spaceship though.

Now I simultaneously can't wait for OP 25, and I don't ever want it to come. I want to know how it ends, but I don't want it to end ;~; Damn you emotions!

Same here. I might buy the issue anyway if my LCS has it since I'll be buying Mister Miracle #12 after work anyway. Optimus Prime #25 is a definite buy for me next week regardless.

Of course my thoughts are trying to reflect this issue and not my thoughts on the franchise.
    The good:
the story ended happily. With hope. I liked that.
Good action throughout, I was able to follow it well! Milne needs a gold medal. Seriously it was beautiful.
We had plenty of character nods and updates, so the whole hasbroverse was given a conclusion.
Nice to have Autobots all working together and not at each other's throats.
    Starscream and Soundwave were great.
I guess Bee and Buzzsaw are living together on the moon. That is a fun spin off.
Rung was in the cloud! And Pipes...

    The bad:
I never liked Slide or Pyra Magna... ever. The fact that they were given pages of dialogue, and took a central role bothered me. But that is only because I don't like them as characters. They did come around in the end, and they did serve a function so that was good, but still. I was really surprised that windblade was not given a moment to shine, or to wrap things up.

Ironhide should not have died. Personal preference.
Pretty sure a space ship the size of the Nemesis crashing into the white house would kill everyone, despite "re-enforcing" it. Also the President with a gun was kind of silly.
Shockwave's plan was still stupid on a galactic scale.
    Robo kissing is still silly.
I really wish the LL had come home for this. Too many characters never got to see eachother again.

    The Other:
Endings are hard. How many times have we been told in TF comics that love is the answer? We get care-bear stare moments a lot. So Op hugs a ghost and everything is ok. I was kind of hoping he would find himself down there. But it would be like the cave in Empire strikes back. Have him merge both aspects of himself somehow to collapse the darkness within... I don't know.
I appreciate that they tried to resolve it without punches, or the stereotypical TF ending.

To the LL thing, boy it would have been great for Megs and OP to go in together...

To that end, thanks for the run! Looking forward to a fresh start, and I hope that OP 25 is great!

Welp. I said it for LL and I'll say it here.

    That happened.

Good thing the MacGuffin could do the thing it needed to do so that Prime could talk to that one guy about the thing that made him do the thing with the Talisman.

Good lord this book made me tired.

I actually *really* enjoyed this book. What an ending. The Soundwave panel gave me chills.

Who was the guy with the Autobot symbol in the far right corner? Was that Roller? Or was it supposed to be Autobot Tarn?

And of all the people to stay alive, Buzzsaw was the one. The only deaths I'm real bummed about are the Dinobots.
