Unicron Chest Cannon Degradation

    I bought the 2008 re-release of Unicron and recently when using the chest cannon gimmick it immediately fires out instead of slowly deploying. Has this happened to anyone else and is there a fix?
    It doesn't ruin the toy for me but it's annoying when one of his chest pops off due to how fast the thing fires.

    I actually had this problem on my original Unicron as a kid (I sadly sold him), my solution was to open his chest up and remove the spring. If I recall correctly, it wasn't too hard, just keep track of what goes where.
