I get the impression that this was more out of concern than control; he probably could've went but there would've been strong disapproval. He said they wouldn't come pick him up from it at 3 in the morning, so it sounds like they just weren't going to assist/enable him to go see a movie in a bad part of town in the middle of the night. Nothing to imply that they would've barred his exit or anything.

Yeah kind of. I have a sibling that is two years older that can do the stuff my mom won't allow me to do.

sneak out go see the movie...if you get caught take your punishment but atleast you saw the movie. worked for me when i was a kid. my mom said i couldn't go to a nwa concert with my friend and his older brother but i went anyway..just didn't come home from school that day called and left a message on the answer machine telling my mom i went anyway and i was prepaired for the ass whooping when i got home.......yeah she tried to kill me that night when i got home. but man did i enjoy that nwa concert.

in your case your mom is correct.

 

It wasn't your singing that annoyed the neighbors, it was molesting the pumpkins and watermelons that freaked people out.

When I was 16 and had a driver's license, my mother let me do most everything I wanted.

When I was 17, I moved out on my own and therefore there was no "mother allowing" to deal with.

You're almost 21. Unless you have some serious issues that you haven't discussed here, this shouldn't even be a gnat in a whale's fart.

 

Very good news! I got my advance ticket to Transformers 2 at midnight. And even if I had to at that other place I just got a lot of people I know are planning to go to the Transformers movie at Midnight. I am so Happy.

 

I hope this is a joke. If your really 20 just go watch it if you really want to, but dont make a big deal out of ROTF it will be in the cinema for weeks.

Oh and if it helps myself and many of us UK fans will be seeing it (and spoiling it) days before you go.  

 

Maybe you can arrange a meet up or something with a fellow fan from this board to see it at midnight?

Wait, either way you've got to be able to just go see it yourself.

 

Then make some friends! Maybe go to the sightings boards, that gives you a good idea as to who may be local. Or just start browsing.
