Which TFs of those strange post movie "Masters" themed lines do you think is overlooked the most?

My favorite was always Doubledealer- Three honestly great modes, two really slick Powermaster figures, tricky multiple-identity thing going on...and a really cool color scheme. That turquoise/red theme really pops... plus the Decepticon "condor" mode introduces a totally new color...which is earns him some cred with the bad guys.

I have always been surprised that more people aren't fans of this guy...it's easily one of the most satisfyting and solid Transformers of the post-movie era.

Loved Doubledealer as a kid and still have it on my 'within arms reach' group.

I also had alot of love for Apeface. The future style jet was well styled and never felt cluttered with kibble. It must have been my favourite non-seeker jet as a kid and it even had a cockpit for the headmaster partner. Overall colour scheme was great, robot mode felt suitably decepticon. The bulky Ape mech mode was just plain awsome with massive double articulated creature arms and stubby back legs as well as allowing even the headmaster partner to have triple changer status.

Heh, I have massive love for Snapdragon (for mos of the reasons stated for Apeface, plus he's super articulated for the time) and Scorponok. genuinely imposing figure, with great use of all the gimmicks and 3 cool modes.

In all honesty, 86-89 is becoming my favourite era of G1. There's a consistanct to the design that is really appealing to me, as well as some awesome sci-fi alt modes (Misfire anybody?)

    Also Nightbeat.

I really dig headmasters in general, but Snapdragon is probably my favorite that I've messed with.

Hosehead and Needlenose were a couple of my favorites; but if I had to choose between the 2 I'd pick Needlenose.

Pretty much all the Targetmasters. Especially the reused '86 guys. It was a second chance to get those popular toys, only now with an awesome little sidekick that turns into a gun! I always pretended Haywire was Megatron since I didn't have a Megatron and the concept was the same.

Doubledealer is an amazing TF. He remains one of the best Triple Changers ever and certainly one of the best Powermasters. One of my all-time favorite toys. Also a big fan of Darkwing and Dreadwind. They individually blow the Seeker jets out of the water, and their combined mode is fantastic; the thing just fits together so ingeniously. And let's not forget Thunderwing - a great representation of a cool character, with tons of play value.

1987-1989 will always be the definitive G1 era for me.

I don't underappreciate any of the 87-89 figures. In fact, I may overappreciate them :D . I will throw one out there though.....how about Slapdash? The Clones (both autobot and decepticon)? and maybe because I just recently acquired it, but I am really liking Crosshairs. I am not going to argue with Doubledealer, Apeface, or Snapdragon, but I didn't think those figures were underappreciated.

Love this post movie character! Does anyone knows whether Doubledealer is more of a good or bad guy?

Some of these are amongst my favourite G1 toys. Dreadwind, and Darkwing, the Horrorcons (Snapdragon and Apeface), Doubledealer, and PM Optimus Prime, would be amongst the last I would sell off if I needed slim down my collection (again).

The 1987 line may be my favorite of all. Just so many fun concepts.
