The part in the new trailer where Sam and Mikayla are hopping rooftops that are being blown up by Starscream as Scrapper pursues them, from the top right corner you can briefly see a hulking mechanincal mass (To me it resembles the Harvesters from Terminator Salvation) charging at them at full speed. A few clips after that there are two and one looks directly at the camera as it gets hit in the chest. The blast is so powerful the one standing away from it is knocked back. You can see something that resembles an arm is blown off completely.
not quite! what actually happens is that the one in the background has already been shot in the chest and is halfway through toppling backwards, when the one in the foreground is also shot. all three robots are identical clones, you can see the face of the background robot for a frame or two, and also you can compare the shoulder spikes and leg shapes. there is also another close-up shot of one of their faces, reaching towards the camera. they look quite similar to blackout in the face, but with generic protoform bodies, and standard 5-fingered hands. no limbs are lost, the robots all wield hand-held miniguns, and this is what is dropped when the foreground robot is hit. just before he is hit, he is stood in a pose just like this: if you freeze-frame the trailer, you can clearly see all of the barells of the minigun.
Annoying how people do that. Bring up a Robot and say "Maybe!" Anyway, the guy has legs, Hightower doesnt.

they're protoforms. It's just like the first movie, where Optimus, Jazz and Ironhide looks like they are the same robot before scan their individual alt modes
