I just started working on a new project and I thought it would be good to get some feedback from fellow collectors.

I've designed and 3D printed my first custom accessory for a figure: Ultra Magnus's Magnus Hammer. This is the first version, so it's rough. I'd appreciate any feedback on the design!

That looks really cool. But in the first pic it has a bunch of holes in the hammer. Other than that though pretty nice for a rough version.

Yeah, the holes are the result of making the top layer too thin to reduce the weight. The next version is going to be cleaner.

The holes in the first pic look like dents in the third. I like the dented look; that hammer's been used to beat a lot of Decepticons. Can you just fill in the pits instead of smoothing the whole thing out?

I would't mind modeling one that looks dented up. I wouldn't want it to look like that just because the print job was bad, haha. When I eventually get a version I'm happy with uploaded to shapeways and whatnot, I'll work on a "battle damaged" version.

Also, thanks to mods for moving this thread to the right place! I'm still new to this forum and didn't know about the Radicons section.
