Thoughts, opinions?

I think the new design looks good. It's funny that as YA is making the Vision interesting again, Ultimate Vision is ALSO making me interested in the character for the first (erm, second, after YA anyway) time.

Does this mean, though, that the Ultimate Vision and Ultimate Ultron are..."lovers"?

 

Don't see a problem with it. If they can change Nick Fury's race, why not Vision's gender? (Well, technically it's a robot, so gender is pointless anyways)

 

Whatever, Ultimate nightmare sucked, ultimate secret sucks so far, and based on what I have heard about ultimate gah-lak-tus... I expect the next series to suck also. Just my opinion though. I thoroughly enjoy the ultimate line, it just seems like the crossovers and mini-series have been very flat compared to rest of the line.

Considering I don't know much (read: nothing) about Vision in the first place it doesn't bother me.

 

Vision is dull regardless of gender.

At first I didn't like the idea but like DevilzFan said, Vision is a robot so gender doesn't really matter that much and I think that the design looks good. I also like the origin of Ultimate Vision, being an alien robot come to warn the Earth of gah-lak-tus.

As far as I can tell there is now two robot's named Vision in the Ultimate Universe. The original is the alien robot introduced in Ultimate Nightmare. The second was shown in Ultimates 2 issue 6. Hank Pym built two androids named Ultron and Vision Two.

 

If I posted that in TFGD I'd have hate PM's from all the rabid loser TF Fanboys about Arcee and the Beast Wars Spider girl.

 

As long as she and wanda(scarlet witch) still get together i don't mind

So basically, she's still dating a "Peter." Just not from the X-Men.

 

I really don't like when the change the sex of a character it kinda of bothers me. I dunno. Vision not so much so but like in Supreme Power they made the Aquaman character a girl. How about they make a current girl character a boy. Thats what I'd like to see haha. Could you imagin a male Storm or Jean Grey haha.

 

Wait, colossus is gay? Is this like Northstar gay of "Morrison Beast pretending to be gay" gay?

 

I don't he's kissed a dude yet... but every chance they get they hint at him lovin boys.

 

That'd be kind of a different situation though. Nitro Convoy/Override on the otherhand I'd think would be closer to the difference between 616 Vision and Ultimate Vision.

 

Well, this will certainly make the Vision/Scarlet Witch relationship more interesting.  

 

No, he's definately gay gay. I guess the character was originally written as being somewhat gay, but the current writer is definately running with it. Check out the story arc with Sinister when Colossus meets Northstar. When Northstar asks if Peter is single, he armors up. Then in this current arc, he gets real excited when he hears that Northstar is coming and Jean tells him that it's not the prom. It really sucks. I don't want my comic books to try and be activists. If the original character was gay, like Northstar, it'd be different. But deliberately changing the character in this way I think is totally unneccessary.
