Sweeeeeet. So basically it's just a movie of the first Ultimates arc? Pure fucking awesomeness.

I'm wondering how toned down it will be though. The whole "Hulk horny for Betty" thing was comedy and I'm wondering if it'll get cut along with domestic abuse stuff with the Pyms.

 

what was that thing with the blue lights coming out of its mouth that thing wasnt in the first ultimates arc.

 

I doubt it, if they market it to a PG-13 - R demographic. I mean, it happened with Animatrix (themes of suicide, some nasty graphic imagery, etc), so I don't see why it couldn't happen again here.

 

If this remains faithful to the book, it will be very good.

 

I'll miss the whole Antman beating his wife parts since that set up between the amazing fight between him and Cap. I like the animation though since its very much like the comic. I hope the voice acting is spot on. That is what will make or break the movie.

I was looking forward to this, but... "Ultimate AVENGERS"? Uh... if I wanted to read Avengers, I'd have read it.

You know, before the book died and was resurrected with one of my all-time favourite comic heroes...

 

... does the name really matter that much? Ultimates, which this is based on, is the Avengers, so like... merge the names and OMG cartoon.

 

It also makes it a little more marketable to those who might vaguely remember the Avengers and doesn't know a thing about the Ultimates.
