I saw them on Tempting Toys' list of things they'll have at Botcon and thought it'd be pretty cool to have them... /intro to give me something to go off of How often to they come up for sale, and what should I expect to pay for them?
You know how in the US they had the "transmetal" repaints of Airazor and Razorclaw that came with the VHS tapes of the first episode or two of Season 2? Well these are the UK versions, I honestly don't think they are *that* rare or pricey, but they probably do sell for a lot to buyers that don't know better. Basically, if you look around a bit you could probably get them for not that much more than a standard basic.
When I was trying to get a complete BW basic collection, it took FOREVER to complete the pair. Claw Jaw was a gift from a good online friend of mine back in the day, but of course I needed a Spittor too. I think it came to be two years before I picked one up on eBay. Even sealed, Spittor or Claw Jaw shouldn't run more than $20 or $30 at the absolute worst. I don't know what Tempting Toys will ask, and don't want to know.
Are these the things which UK TRU stores had loads of way back when? I remember getting some BW figures with VHS tapes for something stupidly cheap like a couple of quid each. I've probably still got a few of each still sealed somewhere in the depths of my collection.
Yes, almost certainly. My Spittor was MOSC and had a large discount-price sticker on it from... some store. I can't remember which.
