Doesn't come out till Thursday but I got mines today and I like it better than Volume 1

The exclusive story is called 'Training Day' which involes Mudflap & Skids

The story starts with them racing eachother, meanwhile Starscream is in contact with The Fallen who plans to destroy Earth, Mudflap & Skids then find some Deceps and Starscream who is rallying them. Mudflap and Skids get spotted and run for it while Starscream and some clones chase them. They then remember about Optimus Prime's message and they take off for Earth. The Story ends with the top of the earth and the faces of Ratchet, Ironhide, Bumblebee, Prime and Sideswipe around it

The IDW comics happens to be All Hail Megatron and before you go 'What a whole 5 pages ?' No it isn't 5 pages. It happens to be the whole Issue 1. So another good bonus

Starscream happens to be away right now so Barricade and Ironhide have taken over the letters section

All in all a great start !

I picked mine up yesterday, but haven't read it through properly yet. (Next toilet session methinks).

Having said that I was surprised that there was a meaty amount of strip in the comic, the ROTF and AHM strips felt long, but I didn't realise AHM was a whole issue.

Whats the deal with AHM anyway? Another alternate universe? Cuz that kind of thing cheeses me off most of the time.

Also dogtags again? I wish they would just stop with these free gifts, they are standard toy giveaway things. I wish Hasbro would work more closely with the comic guys to make some really worthy free gifts. I mean, I looked over at Hot Wheels magzine, and every issue comes with a free Hot wheels car on the cover!

Couldn't they do single packed recoloured minicons or something? Or decoys?

I did also like the Panani sticker album... if I can find the stickers I'm gonna try to fill it up...

AHM is a soft reboot of the IDW franchise.

I wish they would stop using Stock Photos for the covers again, I really like the comic covers

Probably will be stock photos for the time being to attract new readers after seeing the film.

I've also got it but yet to read it - it reached me the same day as the new Batman comics and I really wanted to see how that story panned out first.

I picked mine up today. Actually enjoyed the Skids and Mudflap story. I'm left wondering however, does it tie directly into the movie, or is it still going to be releated to Furman's alternate movie universe?
