    Hi folks,

Well, the new Argos catalogue has landed on my lap a day early... and I can report that the spring/summer 08 TF selection is.... a major disappointment.

Deluxes, Voyagers, Leaders, Legends 4 pack as before. No changes in prices or stock numbers, but the Deluxe is depicted with Movie Cliffjumper so we might get something new eventually.

    Alt Wheeljack - 369/2006 - £14.99, permanent reduction

    FAB selection - 387/4350 - £9.99

    Movie Screen Battles :D  - 387/4381 - £19.99. Ouch.

    T.E.C.H. gear if anyone cares - 387/3423 - £14.99

On the whole, a bit of a let-down really. No Alt Mirage. :(

(woot, frontpage #6 or #7 now)

    Edit: Here's the full info!

    New Argos catalogue:

    2. Movie deluxe figures - 370/5199 - £9.99

Yup, he's still in the catalogue (387/2651). All Leaders are as before, no Brawl though.

After the success of the movie, it may be harder for Argos to secure new products... which would be a pity since they've given TFs more support than some retailers over the last few years.

Does this leave the Mirage thing unexplained? Were they planned for a U.K. release, but dumped in Asia instead?

    Heh, don't count on it.

    Remember Armada?
Deluxe Wheeljack, he never showed up
Titanium WW Prime, never showed up.

Two recent examples, but I'm sure other posters will be able to give you a huge list.

The NW OP pic is the same as the one used in the last catalogue, so I will assume it's the existing UK release. That said, you can't always go on the pics as the Voyager OP/'08 BB pic still shows the '74 'Bee.

I got my Alt. Mirage online for about £25 total ages ago. Why should I miss out on Alternators just because I live in the U.K.?

Typical, boring, never gets anything cool england.

Still alt WJ for that price is a bargain. Might pick one or two up and keep them MISB for the future...or a kitbash.

I don't know about that, we got Nightwatch OP first, and Alt Ravage before the US (and in greater numbers), and Legends Starscream and Blackout were a lot easier to find over here. I used to think we had it rough but I'm not so sure now.

Peh! Really? In my eyes we get jack thats good over here. Nightwatch OP i dont see the point of, just a repaint of ldr prime...ooooooh sooo amazing! -_-

Alt Ravage i don't like very much as im not into animal-formers so again not interesting and all of the movie figs were/are hard to find anywhere i go.

Yeah we have it pretty rough, what with never having any big cons like botcon or getting the chance at the exclusives that comes with them, or MP Starscream (i already have one but still) and metallic movie repaints etc etc etc.

Face it us brits get shafted by Hasblo.
