Even if there is a sequel to TLK, if it isn't directed by:bay then it might be ok. Hell, it might even have a connection between Bayverse and BB, maybe with Unicron dying breaking the universe and changing some things, which results in the G1/Bayformers mix. Maybe.

Except the Bayverse has numerous inconsistencies, too many that much of the story doesn't make sense. And no explanation to them of how they're connected to the story. The Bayverse is a mess.

My point is that despite a new director, or Micheal Bay directing the sequel, the Bayverse series is already a mess with so many inconsistencies, plot points contradicting each other. Plus the TLK was a theatrical failure from where I heard.

I think it's more logical for a reboot than to continue a series that is pretty much dead, unless Hasbro states the news about a reboot either being fake due to a misunderstanding or a lie by Hasbro's part. I hope that Hasbro clears out all this confusion, and that the reboot series is still confirmed.

by that defense you can kinda justify every bad media, unless your'e being a hypocrite you're defending things like teen titans go over making a sequel to the original or live action disney adaptations or disney's unnecessary animated sequels

because people don't have to watch it

i'll admit i'm salty but i'll also give you credit because you're being more civil then the people you're replying to

You’re right. Despite my opposition to another Bay movie I’d love proper closure to one of my all-time favourite film series in a comic or animated series, at least something fans can enjoy without dragging the brand further into the dirt.

Sorry, you guys. I've been away. Will clear this one up. Just getting a help to translate instead of the usual Google Translate option.

While I did read it that way, this user is a native speaker (so his/her Japanese skills are undoubtedly stronger than mine) and read it differently than I did. So it seems to be still a bit up in the air.

I'm reading it as he's having the script worked on, whether or not Hasbro accepts and/or approves is a whole different matter. Or they might hear this and shut down the script.

So he’s basically just a figure head? That would relieve a lot of worries.

Apparently it was mistranslated. We aren’t getting a sequel.

Until I see some physical evidence, concept art or statement from Hasbro etc) I’m treating any sequels to the Bay movies as the rumored Gambit movie, would love but not holding my breath for.

I'm glad to hear of two more films, first off.

But I hope they're better than what we've had recently (I think Bee was a decent film, but I'm not sure whether to call it a step in the right direction).

I just think it’s dumb as hell when people act like it’s the end of the world over something they aren’t obligated to deal with.

I drop TV series and movie series all the time if I stop enjoying it. It’s really not difficult.

He’s a producer. He has significant impact and influence on all aspects of development and production. But ultimately he works at the behest of the studio. Studios don’t give for-hire producers true creative control on $400m productions. Every aspect will be overseen by Paramount, and now Hasbro/Allspark.

I guess it's possible that he just meant another traditional, non-spin-off Transformers movie in the vein of The Last Knight, not necessarily a sequel to The Last Knight.

We need to stop desperately clutching on to vague remarks and meaningless buzz words (I include myself in that). That "new storytelling universe" quote was not a sufficient confirmation of anything, nor is this.
