Well shit. As if Google's iron-fisted rule over YouTube wasn't bad enough.

Oh god, they're probably going to force users to have a Google+ account in order to use Twitch.

I don't see what the big deal is; I mean, just look how great YouTube livestreams are.

    Oh wait. They're terrible.

Well, just look at how little Google messes with a perfectly fine layout and breaks stuff.

Oh wait. They do that all the time.

I don't like being all doom and gloom over rumours and Twitch does have issues too but I have far less problems with Twitch than YouTube. For example, Twitch actually works on my laptop; YouTube doesn't. And like I said before, YouTube livestreaming is pretty terrible and we all know that Google likes to screw things up that already worked.

I'm sure my Twitch profile is going to have its own Google+ profile. Worse yet will be having to switch Google accounts to post on Twitch. On the rare occasions that I post to YouTube, I'll typically find that I'm still logged into my Gmail account requiring me to change my log in and then re-enter my comment.

The day that TFW2005 goes to a Facebook, Twitter, or Google commenting system, I'm out of here. (NO! I don't want to "share" this comment!")

It's a website for livestreaming and is considered the best by a lot of people. Big events even get streamed on Twitch officially like EVO(a huge fighting game tournament) every year, and I think E3 has also been streamed on Twitch too. I don't have any other examples since I mostly pay attention to video games. :lol

Imma bump this because Twitch got bought and some bad changes are coming. Is anybody surprised at this point?

On Twitter I follow three livestreamers who use Twitch and they've been posting about the changes made. I'll list the ones I've seen so far.
    1) Streams using copy-written music are getting muted. Detailed here.

    2) Streams are no longer being saved indefinitely unless they're in Highlight form. Streams saved before 2013 will be deleted in September and after that non-specific date, archives are only saved for a maximum of 60 days in order to save server space.

Love watching old speed runs and EVO on Twitch? Well, too bad! How about old and amazing streams? Too bad! The streamer needs to split it up. Details here.

That's all I've seen for now. Keep in mind that while live, streams aren't muted.

The three streamers I mentioned are on Twitter. PCULL44444, ProtonJon, and Lucahjin so if you want to hear about these changes from some streamers you can visit their Twitter pages. Two of those three even had a nice discussion about the copyright stuff YouTube did so they don't even have a history of over reacting. Characters played for the sake of YouTube Let's Plays do not count as over reacting so even read PCULL44444's feed.

EDIT: :lol  At least not even Twitch is immune to these changes. https://twitter.com/xkeepah/status/497147167803310080

EDIT: I forgot to link to this earlier but Twitch is having a Reddit discussion tomorrow at 10:30AM Pacific.
    https://twitter.com/TwitchSupport/status/497149404915441664

And you can ask question in their chat on Twitch Weekly on Friday at 2:00PM Pacific.
