Everyone tweet hasbro about the first edition toys!!!! It probably won't work, but I believe it is worth a shot. I think It'll make an impact if every one of us tweets them. the tag should be #iwantmyfirstedition. I know I'll be tweeting "what about cliffjumper? #iwantmyfirstedition"

 

This is Stupid. Hasbro isn't going to listen to a twitter protest. Maybe these figures will be released at places at TJ Maxx or Ross, but I have a feeling these figures will never be released mainstream.

 

I'll have to wait until my vision clears because right now my eyes are watering from laughing so hard, having just seen the RiD Deluxe Bumblebee for the first time. Holy shit, what a disaster.

They only see it if they check their mentions, which a lot of big companies don't do.

Why are so many fans under the impression that they can change the way things work...

You can't petition HASBRO for RETAIL OUTLETS to BUY the TOYS.
Hasbro engineers the figures, Hasbro produces the figures, but after that, it is up to stores like TRU or Walmart or Target or online outlets to buy the stock. It's not Hasbro's fault if figures don't reach satisfactory saturation.

When it comes to the First Edition figures, Hasbro didn't make that many, but it's still up to TRU to put them on their shelves.
If you're going to petition anyone, go for the retail outlets, but it won't work, so stop trying.

 

This whole idea is especially pointless because the existing first edition toys are not cancelled.

Hasbro's statement said that no new figures are being planned for the first edition line. Just that, nothing more. which makes sense, as the main line has started.

but of course, no one is really bothering to read the statement, because people just want to flip out and scream.

 

That is a probable interpretation of their statement. But not the only possible interpretation.

And if the RiD line IS now hitting TRU shelves in the US -- and it is -- it's not a huge leap of the imagination to deduce the rest of the FE line will be MIA at US TRU.

 

It is if you have basic reading comprehension skills.

Their statement says "no new figures are being planned for the line".

It says nothing about the existing figures. Just says no new figures are being planned for release under the first edition line.

That's it.

and IF toys r us, the only store mentioned in their statement, passes on wave 1.5, the voyagers, and the entertainment pack, so what? the online retailers certainly haven't.

 

Better idea. Get a bag of dog crap & put it in a paper bag. Then go to Hasbro's porch & light the bag of fire. Then ring their doorbell & go hide in the bushes. When Old Man Hasbro (probably looks like Monopoly Man) comes to the door, he'll stomp out the fire, getting dog crap all over his feet. Write "Release Transformers First Edition" on the bag. He'll get the message.

And this is what most people are worried about. You're making it sound like everyone is upset there aren't more FE toys planned. Nobody cares about that.

 

No, because the TFP toys are incredibly overrated.

 

And in doing so make the rest of us look bad.  

 

Internet petitions rarely if ever work, and to be quite honest, I don't see this having legs.

The issue is with the retailers who didn't pick the stuff up, like RTS I'm sure you'll find it at places like Ross in May or so.
