Same - very curious about these! They're not 100% my jam, but I am cautiously optimistic.

If they're good, then we have a cool new source of 3P CHUG for a killer deal!

At the very least, I'm hoping they follow this up with another 2-pack [I'm hoping for Bluestreak and Barricade personally, but I would not be sad at all if it was Blue Bluestreak].

Twice! Prowl and Barricade had retail releases in Siege, Smokescreen had a retail release in Earthrise, but Bluestreak just went from a Walmart-exclusive to a Walgreens-exclusive.

 

Yeah, at this rate I will have to buy 2 Prowls and paint one Bluestreak colours.
It's just frustrating.

 

It might still be possible that if it sells well they could end up doing a bluestreak/Barricade 2-pack - after all they'd just be straight up repaints.

surprising that bot is a tad taller, but alt is so much smaller!

 

Really wish they didn't put those pegs in the rear quarter panels on Prowl's alt mode. I don't care about pegging weapons on the car and it really detracts from the streamlined look on the GTR.

 

Glad to see confirmation that they're taller than the average modern Deluxe. Now I'm even more excited to for mine to arrive!
I bet they'll look great alongside Striker Manus.

 

I kind of regret not getting that Prime now.

 

I got lucky from a fellow board member who sold me a loose Bluestreak for less than retail. Great deal! But yeah, Walgreens exclusives are crap to try to find!

 

Note as bad as the Amazon exclusives this time around. I suspect I’ll never get the damn Prowl and ironhide.  

 

They kinda make Takara look a bit silly for not farming their Alterntity toys to make Smokescreen, Prowl, Bluestreak and perhaps Barricade from them. What with the GT versions existing those are perfect for Smokescreen, and the default white is best for Prowl (plus a few minor tweaks - like a new bumper and light and a new head) & Smokescreen could just be like the greyish silver Optimus only with a new head and some charcoal paint on the car body. Heck they could easily have released Bugbite, Glyph, Volks, etc out of Bumblebee too. I guess the reason they stopped is that they killed the Market by over pricing their GT cars and likely long since lost the license *unless they have it still in some form via the Tomy Tomica line & related toylines*.

 

So is ER Prowl like 4 inches? I had no idea the newer toys were THAT tiny. Most recent deluxe I own are TR which are around the same as the older CHUG.
Really happy with how he looks, much better than his classics toy and the G1 updates.

 

I was originally going to get these to replace my old Prowl and Smokescreen but ended up getting the Earthrise figures. While I like the Earthrise figures, they definitely are short and I fear they will eventually break because of the clear plastic. So I may go back to my previous idea and get these. I just hope they’ll release Bluestreak.

 

ER Prowl stands at just slightly over 5". I just measured it.
