Simple, elegant transformations and nice sculpt... they look great, especially Prowl; love the GTR alt mode. I just wish the rims were painted, because as is, the wheels blend into the black side panels too much.

But yeah, why do they have to be a 2-pack?? I'd buy one instantly, but I don't need both, haha.

Hope they make a BUNCH more characters in this style. Their Bumblebee design looked very promising.

 

Nothing a silver sharpie or some paint can't solve. An easy fix.

You're the second person here who doesn't want Smokescreen. Wonder why he doesn't get as much love as Prowl.

I want to say he didn't feature as prominently as the others did, even though he had the one episode featuring primarily him. But on the same note, Prowl got very little 'themed' scene time, too, with Bluestreak getting much more. So I've got to assume it's because the other two are season-1 characters, and Smokescreen came in late?

For me, that's more what it is (though I want all three). Maybe others can elaborate or clarify.

In this case, aside from attachment to the character, I like Prowl's colours and alt mode better. And I very rarely want two of the same mold.

I think most people like Prowl the best. And that includes me as well. For my legends and MP, after getting Prowl, I like the mould so much that I ended up getting Bluestreak and Smokescreen as well later on, since I also like their color scheme (Barricade not so much).

So for me, I'm glad this came in a 2-pack, as they have already made the decision for me.

Yeah, I think the poor articulation kills it for me, even at that price. I could deal with either no waist swivel or extremely limited lateral arm movement. Both is a dealbreaker, I’m afraid.

I’ve wanted to see this variation of Jazz for some time. Same with Figueroa’s Brawn from the same era. Hell, I’d love to see figures of many of the the Figueroa ongoing transformers.

Not complaining, just looking to see if there's anyone who wants just the one that I don't. I mean, I already ordered a set. But if someone who's on the fence just wants Smokescreen maybe we can work something out.

I think it comes down to deco. That combination of red, white, and blue with yellow accents shouldn't bother me- I like Star Saber alright, and I'm a Gundam fan. But the way it's laid out on Smokescreen... something about it bugs me. So he's always been my least favorite of the Datsuns. But also I like police decos. I'll say now, if they do another two pack with Bluestreak and Barricade I'll buy it for Barricade and I'll be looking to offload Bluestreak.

I'd buy that Bumblebee, especially if it's a similar size and price.

If these guys were more expensive I wouldn't, and I don't expect them to replace the Earthrise ones. But they're cheap enough that they don't have to be great, I'm just there for a transforming GT-R police car.

These really do seem like Hasbro mainline toys, but in a good way. I could totally imagine these having been released in 2010 during the peak of Generations and being heralded as the best of the Datsuns for years, and even being preferred over the Earthrise mold by many.

 

So looking at the first pic on the first post, it looks like they have the Datsuns on the right and what I can only assume to be Bee alongside Prime on the left. Assuming they go forward with the line, I wonder if they plan to release Bee and Prime as a two pack like they did with the Datsuns...
Not that I'd mind. I don't need another Prime, but he looks good based on the image. Plus, at this point, I'd be willing to buy any figure they release in this size and aesthetic just to get more figures in that Neo-G1 CHUG style.
