Agreed. It's hollow, cheap, and riddled of cost cutting measures...Everything that I believe this fandom would like to put behind us during the year+ run of recession affected molds.

And a bit too brown for Iron Fist, if you ask me. Yes, I believe that I'm going to have to flush this turd.

Anyone who wants him LSOTW style should just buy Mach 5 Gauntlet, it's roughly the same price and then his body will be accurate too. Keep those G1 toy colors, Pete!  

 

Eh... it kinda works... not much though. At least the headsculpt is good.

Or in this case --Aussie accented, explosion loving gun-nut (since this is the Wings universe incarnation of the character).

 

Yeah, I plan on getting this guy AND the Mach 5 offering. This guy being able to merge with the Wreckers is too good to pass up.

 

I would prefer LSOTW colors - BUT I think I would want to see a mockup first because they may not work as well with this mold.

 

It's just keeping in line with the original Bruticus figures. Let's examine...

So you're maintaining that this is LSTOW Ironfist despite the Elite Guard symbol being a dead giveaway for the Wing's 'verse? I think it's more likely the write-up is wrong. (Or they just thought they might get more subscription sales hyping the LSOTW draw for fans who don't make universal stream distinctions.)

There ARE other places that Elite Guard symbol has been used....

Anyway, given that LSOTW Ironfist is... you know... dead, that would mean one of three things:
1. This is his form before that story, at a point in which he still doesn't actually know any Wreckers.
2. He gets resurrected somehow.
3. This guy is a different guy who simply homages LSOTW Ironfist.

Of these, I prefer the last option.

 

They've already changed the images. Different colors, and no more EG symbol.

Or the most likely explanation: This is Wings universe Ironfist. Or, if the Wreckers combination is central the the idea of this character: Aligned continuity Ironfist.

IDW Ironfist is dead, and even before the war he had the same body. Plus, I don't think the FunPub's reach really extends over IDW's characters, that delves into a licensing gray area that I don't think they'd want to tread into. There's an awful lot of storyline craziness necessary to make this be the same character as the IDW universal steam in club fiction.

Proof that FunPub actually does pay attention to what we're saying.

(They may well not always share our opinions, or have reasons to go a different way, but they're still paying attention)

 

I like that they're listening, but I DID like the green feet. Honestly, anything to be close to the original is the way to go for me. Like the rest of the 1.5 and G2 bots... screamin' crazy weird color (like the pink lights and windshield, teal feet, etc.) was what set these guys apart. Mirroring those (like Pyro, Clench and the gang) will help them match with that shelf, which is I think the ideal place for this guy.
