Ultra Magnus would plotz!

 

He falls in a pretty weird place for me. He's got too many faction symbols to be subtle, but they aren't ridiculous enough (RtS Strafe) to be endearing.

Good use of the mold, though. Not as cool as halloween-coloured-light-piped-death-scream guy, but still good.

 

Um... oh yeah.  

Well, I'll keep waiting for Hasbro to do one, then. As big a fan of Chromedome as I am, my interest in a non-Headmaster version is pretty minimal. I'm also kind of sick of the TFP figures in general. Plus, the price.

 

That looks really cool. I'm liking this round of TFSS better than the last. If it weren't for the Xbox One coming out in November, I'd drop the cash to get this set. As is, I'll probably have to buy one or two individual ones off the club store...and this and Barricade are top of the list for me.

 

Man, they really overdid it on the faction symbols, I would have preferred a single one on the chest and a smaller one on the hood.

+1 on this, some sort of red paint app on the hood closer to the windshield with a smaller Autobot symbol would be nice. It'd work as a callback to the faction symbol placement on the red "engine" block on his G1 animation model. Thanks to the transformation it'd give him his animation model's placement in each mode.

 

So they switched from a Headmaster to a Targetmaster? hmm ...

 

Chromedome and Barricade are the ones that I really like from this set.

 

Looks pretty good, but since the head is identical to Roche's design, I wonder if the visor could be changed to yellow and not blue?

 

I really do like this Chromedome. I was afraid he wouldn't look as good using the Wheeljack mold but he surprises me. He can do without the swords though and don't like the large Autobot logo on his hood but other than that, I wouldn't mine having one of these.

 

The swords just come with the mold, why do people object to them? He also comes with a Targetmaster so it's not like you have to have them in his hands all the time.

At any rate, the swords kind of remind me of the Headmasters version of the character, even though he didn't use them he was that sort of heroic leader-guy.

Looking forward to this, and like many i feel that the hood emblem is just overkill. the shoulder emblems work perfect. Also in the camp of "wth is chromedome doing with twin swords?" but I'm guessing this will give some 3rd party a new project. (I'm HOPING that is).

 

A retool of a toy I already have. It doesn't make me want to get a figure subscription. These club figures always come out looking worse than they look in the pictures.

Oh, great, another TFP-related exclusive for me to get. To think I still don't have Slipstream and Megaplex, and that upcoming Barricade.

 

Honestly aren't you guys tired of repaints??? give us a true exclusive figure that we all want, not a 12.99 deluxe repaint - this is why I have become very selective with my purchases, Hasbro thinks they can throw what ever they want out and we will bow down and buy...........not this guy

 

WOO!!! I'm not the only one that thought Wildrider when seeing that giant autobot symbol. Didn't think of it slanted in the opposite direction though. I like that idea better then just having it there.

I like it, not enough to actually get him, but he turned out better then I thought. I like PRID Wheeljack, but it just feels like all the retools use the mold better then the actual intended character.

I already see people starting to voice that age old price argument. Oy

 

This isn't Hasbro. But I agree it's hard to justify this price tag on something you know is a $13 toy. Especially one we've already seen 4 times in just a couple years.

You know it'd be impossible to make a new-mold toy in the small quantities that the club figures are made and have it cost the current price, right?
