TRU Rodimus Major & Rodimus Prime: Any Differences?

    Are there any differences between the TRU Commemorative reissues of Rodimus Major and Rodimus Prime from their C-77 & C-78 Takara reissues?

    I know that the TRU reissues had truncated missiles or absent springs, but I'm not sure if this affects Hot Rod or Rodimus Prime. Can anyone help?

    The Rodimi have no missiles or springs, so there's no difference there. I know the TRU reissues have metal feet, not sure about the Takara ones. If so, then I don't think there's any difference besides the boxes.

    There are a couple of minor differences.

    Rodimus Prime:

    I only found two tiny differences between the two, besides the torso of TRU Rodimus being misassembled and needing repair.

    1. The guns have slightly different molding on the underside...I wish I had a digital camera to show everyone.

    2. The backs of Rodimus' knees are filled in on the TRU version..(I guess it makes it a little more stable.)

    Hot Rod/Rodimus Major:

    The only difference I noticed was the shoulder assembly. The Taraka one is held in place by a pin, like the original, while the TRU version has a plastic tab, which actually allows the arm to pop out without breaking the figure.
