Any concerns about over-sized missles to pass safety laws can easily be avoided by Hasbro taking the springs out (see Comm series Silverstreak, where they did just that- normal sized missles, they just can't be fired). Aside from the missle that goes with his gun, I can't think of any reasons Soundwave would have to be changed.

 

Yup, issue rights I heard..So those of you (me within as well) hoping for Whirl, Deluxe Insecticons & Omega Supreme etc. can all..

Soundwave would seem like a great choice for a reissue. Blaster too.

But, I'm holding out for all of those TFs I've never heard of/don't give a shit about to show up so that I can spend $30 a pop on them. You know, Action Master Ricochet, Wheelie, Black Repainted Nemesis Wheelie, etc. I've probably missed it somewhere in this thread or in another, but is there a confirmed list of G1 TFs for which the molds are still available? Why can't they just make some new Wheeljack molds? With all the fancy 3D scanning and computer aided manufacturing options, why can't they just scan in an old Wheeljack and make some new molds? The bootleg companies have done a halfway respectable job of ripping off old TFs. Where are the combiners? How many Reissue Menasors, Devastators, Computrons, etc. do you guys think they could sell? How 'bout a shitload? And, I wonder what it would take to re-engineer Fort Max to pass that damn drop test? And, what the fuck is up with that drop test anyhoo? I'd like to see a glass Strawberry Shortcake tea set pass a fuckin' drop test. Maybe someone here needs to go get a good position at Hasbro and talk some sense into those people.

anybody notice the 'ultimate list' on Transformers.com has been updated... and several g1 reissues are listed there... but weren't reissued.... hrm... maybe that's a hint....

Yes, we noticed that a few weeks ago. They also listed a few other unreleased toys such as Universe "Halloween Horrorcon" two-packs (the Cheetor, Blackarachnia, Mutant Soundwave and TM Waspinator repaints we saw two years ago) and the unreleased Smokescreen/Drench two-pack (Armada Hot Shot and Wheeljack repaints) but took them out of the list again. They forgot to remove the unreleased reissues and the Seacons, though.

Note that their inclusion in the list does NOT translate to "WILL BE RELEASED SOON", but more "WERE SUPPOSED TO BE RELEASED AT ONE POINT, BUT WERE CANCELLED, AND WE ACCIDENTALLY UPLOADED A VERSION OF THE LIST THAT STILL CONTAINED THEM".

 

Still, if they're thinking of doing more Comm series figures, and they still have the molds handy from those cancelled figures, they could be resurrected if need be.
Still looks pretty doubtful for the Seacons though
