If something is purchased with store credit, can it be returned for cash (with or without a gift receipt)? I have said store credit and they're never gonna get anything I can do a quick at-cost resale on to get real live United States American money, so I figure there's gotta be a way to work the system somehow.
TRU would probably be best to consult on this question. Basically, from their site, no returns or exchanges without a receipt. Returns paid with a gift card (or store credit) will be refunded in the same manner (i.e. not cash). If you're not going to use it and you want cash, why not sell it at something like a 15% discount off of face-value? (That said, they certainly have things in-store right now that you could use that on and turn around and sell without losing any value.)
