So I was just watching Dinobot Island, and about halfway through Part 2, there's scene cut inbetween Starscream transforming and an attack, and he has a blue nosecone! Lasts about half a second. So it is cartoon accurate!

 

Man, it would be great if Hasbro sold an upgrade coronation kit. I sold my MP-11 a couple of monthes ago and will probably go with this.

 

I'm really hoping they do a better job fixing the loose breast that never seems to stay in place in robot mode and completely comes apart when trying to move the arms. I think it was MP11SW that had a huge improvement in the Takara Asia Release. Lets improve it even more.

I will bet you a ton of cash they will be. Hasbro's back tail wings on the seekers are always horrible (Thundercracker, Acid storm, and Sunstorm). Sure this figure will be cheaper then the asian exclusive, but it will be less QC for sure.

 

There's literally no basis to this statement. These things are all made in the same factories. Every MP seeker I have is a Hasbro one and they're fine; I never heard people complain about broken Hasbro wings.

 

That's cause they don't break, they just fall off if you look at them......

 

Yes, but the Takara runs start at shift change when the elves come in to oversee everything after mixing the better plastic. Takara qc issues never happen that is urban legend started by Hasbro loyalist  

 

The wing hinges on my Thundercracker have not once fallen off the hinge (one wing fell off when the item was shipped to me, but that's it). I will, however, say those silly tabs that flip up to help the wings tab in are completely useless since they come undone as soon as you start tilting the wings back to allow for some more dynamic motion. I hope the tolerances on those are tweaked for this release. Also, the universal complaint about the torso not locking in.

 

When is this guy gonna be released. Its supposed to be in October right?

 

I've got Has/TCracker and MP-11SW. While they look great, I'm kinda bored with this mold. Screamer always annoyed me on the toon, but I guess without him the show would've been boring. If TRU keeps this guy under a $100 I'll probably get him and call it a day with the seekers, that is until the Coneheads arrive. Not worried about the paint apps/deco on Screamer so much as the possibility of him being a floppy mess like Acidstorm, one of the reasons I got rid of him

 

So is the only way to get this figure by ordering online?

 

MP Bluestreak was in stores so MP Starscream will probably be as well, but you'll probably have an easier time ordering him online.

 

I actually had better luck getting MP-10, Soundwave, reissue Grimlock, and Devastator in store than online, but yeah, it depends on how well stocked your stores are and how many other collectors you have in your area

 

or how many scalpers in the area.......

 

Then I should have no problem finding him at our local TRU, since I'm the only serious collector I know of in my area. I'll still order him online though. Walking into our TRU is like walking into a freaking dungeon with how dark and cramped it is.
