I mean knowing Troy Baker it wouldn't be surprising if he received another character other than Steeljaw so maybe we won't be seeing him again

Also recording now... could that be from season 3 or is it from another season or possibly that movie that was mentioned to be released on tv at the end of the series?

 

Dude anyone who says Steeljaw is gone for good is kidding themselves.

He's been the primary villain of the entire series so far, with his threat level steadily increasing. They've taken their time to flesh him out as a cunning, manipulative, egocentric but subtly so, bordering on sociopathic villain devoted to achieving power and authority through careful planning and opportunism.

He might have been defeated at the end of Season 2, but he's not dead, only imprisoned.

Somehow, some way, he will certainly make his escape, maybe even on Cybertron, and embark on another mad quest for power and I'm guessing revenge.

"I WILL TEAR YOU TO RIBBONS, BUMBLEBEE!!!"

There's just no way they'll drop his character at that, there's so much more to do.

Granted, he might not return right away either, but before the end of Season 3 I expect to see him in some capacity for sure.

Although I'm also holding out for more Megatronus, to retroactively give more meaning to his Season 1 appearance.

 

Yeah Steeljaw is a increasingly great villain, but i do hope Megatronus and Saberhorn and co arent played out either.

 

Clampdown's actor, whose name escapes me he's a disney guy, was recording just last week too. Can't keep the pack down it seems.

Clampdown is my favorite Decepticon in this show next to Steeljaw. Glad to hear he might be back. Quillfire is pretty great too, probably one of the funniest characters.

 

Is it bad that I hate Steeljaw and the replacement cons?

 

Not bad, they're just not your thing I'm guessing.

I like the over the top action comedy tone of this series, but it is a departure from the usual MO for Transformers.

The dorky humor and animal cons are just a lot of fun to me, and the characters are well written.

But if it's not your thing it's not your thing.

 

She never said when this was taking place (this recording session) but i wouldn't be surprise if a lot of the Season 1 and 2 Cons return in the future.

 

We've never had an episode where Quillfire and Steeljaw and Clampdown spoke in the same one, so it has to be a newer recording. Khary Payton has a bald head in that picture too and he only shaved recently.

It'd be for Season 4. Given the production timetables of series like this, the recording for Season 3 probably wrapped up a long time ago.
