EDIT: THIS WAS IN FACT A QC SCREW UP. Not all the figures are like this. I got an apology from Impossible Toys and they are mailing out replacement parts to distributors. I'm posting this part here for those new to the thread and interested in the figure.

I just got my G1 Arcee-ish figure today. Hooray! However, has anyone else had this problem with the left shoulder strap that connects the chestplate to the front of car shell? The left one (arcs downward) is the exact same as the right (arcs upward), flipped over, and thus raises the left side up so that it doesn't snap into place.

Looks like it has some QC issues. I hope that's not the norm.

 

Me too...when you see the video on BBTS' site, the figure in that video looks like the left side has the correct arc.

So maybe I got a bum figure here...

I honestly haven't seen anything for this figure like review or such. But that looks like poor QC in the molding/casting or just it was maybe put together wrong.

 

 

From what I have seen, my enthusiasm for this product has fallen considerably. I know Impossible Toys had some QC problems with the Quints, but this is a joke.

 

Not sure if that's something I can just shave down or if I need to write Impossible Toys about, "Hey, wrong piece, buddy!" If I try to remove it, though, I'll probably break it. But I'm glad I didn't order the nurse "green" version along with it, that's some expensive stuff!

 

Mine doesn't have this issue. But it does have flash, brush strokes, et cetera.

 

So would you say you are disappointed in your $70 purchase?

 

Head over to index. Send them an email about the issue, and include a link to this thread. I'm sure they'll take care of your problem and send a replacement part. Their good on checking their email.

 

That looks like crap...I was thinking about getting it, however it doesn't look all that good in your pics, even if it had the correct part.

 

Looks like she could use some "Plastic Surgery"...

But seriously, that sucks man. I hope this gets resolved.

hahaha! funny joke, but i do like the g1 style mold. looks great. but i have not order yet.

 

I have to dig out some more G1 for comparison. Hot Rod, Ultra Magnus, Kup and Blurr. Oh, Sandstorm too, since I got the Medic as well.

The design, the transform, the proportions are all ace. QC is going to be the sticking point here, as it was with Knight Morpher Commander among those who bought that one.

She's smaller than I expected but I need to see her with G1 toys to really feel that part of it out.

 

Yeah, I like the design too, but it seems the QC is almost non-existent. Such a bummer, since the youtube vids got my hopes rather high.

Her head DOES turn, but you have to force it, and all the joints are pretty weak so I'm not forcing it.

I like the plastic surgery joke.

I like to add that I bought the Quintesson judge and I think he's pretty damn cool.

I heard they switched factories, from the one that made the Quints. Sounds like the new factory didn't do a good job as the last one.
