Just a fun watch. Normally these 2 guys discuss Trek ships, and then in other episodes they do sci-fi craft in general. Today they are doing the Decepticon ship Nemesis.
The guy who knows "more" about the Nemesis doesn't know that the ship is a robot like the guy who knows "less". Stopped watching video after a few minutes, but maybe I missed something regarding them knowing more about the Nemesis....
Only in the 1 video game. The writers of that one episode of Prime went on record saying that the Nemesis was not Tripticon waking up. I'm unaware of any other continuities of the Nemesis being anything other than a ship.
The underwater Decepticon base in G1 seasons 1-2 was not the Nemesis, but the Nemesis-looking ship the Decepticons built after waking on "The Ark" during the 3-part pilot (More Than Meets The Eye), which was later brought down to underwater after taking off, thanks to Mirage, then made into their regular underwater base. The Nemesis was later found in episode "Microbots," where G1 Megatron extracted the Heart of Cybertron from it, which powered the Nemesis, and he used it in himself as a weapon against the Autobots. Then, in "Trans-Europe Express," Megatron talked about and acquired the "Pearl of Bahoudin," that fell to the Earth from the Nemesis when it was crashing. Finally, in "A Plague of Insecticons," the Insecticons had escaped the Nemesis when crashing, in an escape pod that became their base on Earth until Megatron and the others found them.
It's Scavenger, actually. Just checked my DVD of the ep. And given the dialog, it seems Megatron didn't know it was his old ship for sure, and "Stardrive" could just be it's engine, or something like that.
