Travis Knight To Direct Tom Holland In Sony’s ‘Uncharted’ – Deadline

I thought he was doing The Six Million Dollar Man?

He could still do another Transformers movie, later down the road. Last we heard, they aren't doing a Bumblebee 2 anyway. They're doing a Bumblebee/Optimus team-up movie. I guess I assumed they'd get a different director for it.

I'd love to have Knight do another TF movie, but I'm not sure this series should become "The Knightverse", like everyone wants it to be. I'd kind of prefer to see a variety of directors do the movies. Having one person direct all the movies in the series might start to get stale again. And Knight could still consult, even if he was doing a doing a different movie.

 

They should have Nathan Fillion telling a flashback story with Holland as the younger version.

 

Travis Knight already said he wasn't doing a BB sequel, right after BB came out. . .

 

UNCHARTED Movie Casts Academy Award Nominated Actor Mark Wahlberg As Sully Sullivan

Mark Wahlberg is Victor Sullivan.

I don't know about this casting choice. This and Tom Holland are casting choices that I'm not 100% on board with.

 

I’m a Mark Wahlberg fan, but I don’t think that’s a good fit at all.

He was going to be Nathan Drake in the movie 10 years ago. You either die a Drake or live long enough to see yourself become Sully

 

Egh. I don't dislike Mark Wahlberg, but I am sick of Mark Wahlberg. Don't know why... I don't have a specific example... but I am. I just am.

But this is a video game movie, so... probably better him to take the career hit than someone else.

Sony's Uncharted Adds Antonio Banderas in Mystery Role

According to Variety, Banderas is the latest to join the cast of the Tom Holland-starring video game adaptation, along with Sophia Ali and Tati Gabrielle.

The Uncharted video game series follows treasure hunter Nathan Drake and his friends Sully and Elena, who travel the globe to recover ancient artifacts. In doing so, they cross paths with pirates and other criminals in high-stakes adventures.

That said, the film's previous director, the aforementioned Dan Trachtenberg, made it clear the upcoming adaptation won't be a carbon copy of the source material, saying, "I didn't really feel like it was at all worthy of making a video game adaptation, if we're just gonna copy what the game is and just serve people a lesser experience than what they've experienced in such an incredible way."

Who Tom? He's suppose to be playing a younger Nathan, so the scruff doesn't really need to be there.

I mean I guess the stache will look more authentic on film.

Quick question: Does anyone know of movies where Wahlberg can do an accent? Like something out of his usual high energy voice. Cause Sully has a very distinct voice in the games.
