Why Asia? what's so special about Asia? Cheating the U.S. retail market out of this toy sucks. They could at least offer it on their website for God's sake.

So I guess we either have to wait and see if we can get the Asia one through like BBTS or hope someone middle mans the universal one.

Eh, I can live without him.

Since it isn't a licensed vehicle mode, we'll probably get this as part of Generations.

I wouldn't count on it. Hasbro has openly screwed us over, and shown their consumers that they don't really give a crap about us, just how much money they can make.

I think they have forgotten that we are the reason they make a dump truck load of cash every year.

Get mad at the retailers, not Hasbro. Hasbro wants to sell us everything they can. The retailers are the ones who keep making Hasbro change plans.

Are you serious? What makes you think where you live is so special? You do know that Transformers are made on a tiny continent called ASIA, don't you?

The United States accounts for 93 percent of Hasbro's retail income.

But before you jump to conclusions, you do realize that you took what I said out of context, right? I'm referring to the fact that Hasbro has decided to release the remaining movie trilogy line (of which Evac is a part) exclusively to the Asian market.

There's no reason that Hasbro couldn't offer Evac, as well as the other movie trilogy figures, as exclusives directly through their toy shop or a select retailer ( like Toy Wiz) of their choice.

The fact that they have decided to exclude their North American market from this line is a slap to the face for us, because it indicates that they really do not appreciate their consumers.

Transformers, like a gazillion other products may be made in China, but their success is due to their North American fan base.

You, like others, may be fans, and that's a good thing, but it's a matter of simple economics, not your outrage at me being an American.

The US isn't special for ANY reason, made up or not. We just feel over-priveledged, that's all.

Why is everyone surprised that retail Evac is Asia-only? Hasbro said the 'Movie Trilogy' line (the line the retail Evac was supposedly going to be in, I think) was Asia-only at the last ToyFair when all they showed off was the stupid Optimus and trailer set.

And again, Hasbro canceled the last wave of DOTM and Movie Trilogy because no retailers in the US were interested in them, not because they're being mean. They WANT to sell as many toys as possible here, flat-out canceling stuff is the last thing they want to do.

Pretty sure Hasbro sells toys in other Asian countries, I don't think Takara covers all of them. There's a version sold at the parks, and the now Asia-only retail version as well, if I remember correctly.

But please correct me if I'm wrong about anything here, I'd love to be and to buy this figure.

Pretty sure you're right that Takara is largely Japan and that much of Asia actually gets Hasbro stuff. But I'm not positive either.

    Only his Cyberverse Toy.

His Deluxe toy is part of the Universal theme park movie line (thus he is universal exlusive) and Movie Trilogy (which is asia exclusive)

Didn't DOTM tank in America? Isn't that why retailers don't want anything movie related anymore?

Dude, seriously, way to warp the page!

Maybe it's just cause I'm in TF: Prime mode now, but I really don't care that this isnt' coming to North America. Even in principle I don't feel offended in any way.
