Now that animated has ended, does anyone think that hasbro should take another look at transtech? The techno-organic designs would probably transition well to animation, and the fact that transtech takes place in a hub that connects multiple universes would allow writers to add cameos of characters from past shows. What do you guys think of the idea?
Folks: I want to see Transtech. I want to see it written in Japan and produced by We've. I want to see Dinobot have an obvious (dubbed-out) crush on Optimus. I want to hear Cheetor say "GET IN THE SHIP!". I also drank my coffee with extra evil this morning, so you should not read anything I write here. Seriously, I think TT has become redundant. We've got the crazy alien mechs already. I wouldn't mind to see some of the designs reused in the movie line, of course, and I wouldn't mind seeing characters placed in future series. Dinobot should be left to his rest, though. He lived like a warrior ans died to an hero. Let's leave it at that.
Whilst I would love to see a Transtech series, I wouldn't want it in Animated style; i would want it as it was intended to look. I also would NOT want Dinobot in it. He died a hero's death, and should stay that way. Anything else would cheapen one of the best written Transformers episodes ever made.
Not in animated style no but if it is transtech next than that would be EPIC WIN! Espically if they use shockwave.
Oh TransTech your the Mary Sue of the TF cartoon line up, you did everything right simply because you never got the chance to suck. Ok style wise just by some movie stuff and jobs done. continuity wise it would never work as you would need to inform a whole generation what happened in 3 seasons of Beast Wars and 2 of Beast machines in the space of one or two episodes it just would not work. Also if they do just hit the reset again I'm fine with that but their are better things to do then to dig up transtech.
Yeah, I mean Transtech = BM with Bayformer aesthetics. I never understood while people were so all over it. They look even less like TFs then some Movie designs... and the bot modes are so totally gundam/mecha like with all the unnecessary detailed armors/weaponary. I mean... look at TRanstech Shockwave. That thing is SOOO nothing like Shockwave.
Would Transtech be all that unique now, so many of the designs and ideas have been done, albeit filtered down and distributed through a number of lines. I liked the design sketches draxhall jump cam up with though and if they can create a style that still looks unique and identifiable from all the other lines now then I'd be all for it.
Maybe back just after Beast Machines finished, yes, but to me the BayFormers look is pretty TransTechy. Just looking at ROTF Soundwave reminds me of the TT designs. Any new TF show now will probably wind up being set on Earth so the chance to have an all-Cybertron show probably went when TT didn't come along right after BM with all it's Cybertron-based-ness. So, any TT show would be those spikey monstery designs set on Earth, which is what BayFormers is anyway. So, TransTech? It came out in 2007 and it's back out again this year too. I would however like those TT figures that had prototypes of them put out in either Universe or the BayFormers TF toyline. In the Animated style? Not sure you could turn the TT style into Animated style and not lose what the TT designs were all about.
I like the Transtech styles and the advanced machine aesthetic but whether it would be treated properly as a serious would be my larger concern. Also I can only echo people's thoughts that Animated is not the right style for it. Also, with such a dimensional hoping theme to the already established Transtech community the possibility of terrible crossovers is just too great. Clean reboot, or something with a similar aesthetic but a different setting would be the best options I feel. However, in all truth I feel that although the advanced designs look impressive that it may in fact be a bad idea. For example, I find it hard to care about the characters in the films because they are so alien; they lack the anthropomorphosis of a cartoon and therefore are alien. I feel this might also occur if they did go with such a series, the design and writing teams would need to be very careful. Overall opinions: Designs are very cool and the aesthetic is fun. Keep it to a comic series and make a cartoon with more recognisable and humanised characters. Animated was good at this and making you connect to a character due to superior writing compared to many previous series. TransTech Animated is a bad idea though as it loses what made both unique and good (in the case of Animated, there's not enough to judge TransTech properly).
I would love to see a Transtech Cartoon, in 3D or Anime style, no Cell Shading since it wouldn't translate well, and same for Animated style. Also, the point about all the cameo potential is awesome. Imagine it!
