I found a mint condition Transmetal Megatron at a local flea market- a reliable seller, I usually by TF's and others things from him. He wanted $10, but I was able to snag it for about $2. Was this a good deal- how much would it have been worth?

But, when I got home, I went to transform it, it snapped right in half, at the waste- where the swivel is for the upper body. After googling it, I heard some molds of it are prone to common breakage at the area- is this true?

I'm going to try to glue it for personal satisfaction, but it's pretty much ruined now. Can't complain too much, since I only paid $2.

Pretty much all US versions of TM Megatron will break at the waist. It's known as Gold Plastic Syndrome, but in this case could technically be called Brown Plastic Syndrome. Best to just get the Takara version of him.

The fragility of Transmetal Megatron hasn't been news since about 1999. If the waist doesn't go, the hinges that the shoulders are on will.

    Thanks, I appreciate the feedback.

Ironically enough, after glueing the waste, the shoulder did just snap.

I've never had a problem with mine, but I'm terrified to touch it.
