Cheetor, Dinobot II & Blackarachnia were great Transmetal IIs. including Megatron & Tigerhawk. But I wish there are more original Transmetal IIs in the series. If only there were more than one stasis pod. Some would be Predacons, some to be Maximals. If there was at least one Maximal, he/she would take Cheetor in to be trained in order to master his new body.
Nightglider for me. Cool toy and it would of been great to see him on the show in Mainframe's style. You probably know this but there's a few missing from your poll. Yeah, I can kind of understand Cybershark would have been difficult to write in. Being water based an all unless they had him fly kind of like Sky Byte from RiD. Speaking of RiD we got to see some TM2s in toon form there.
Nightglider was always cool because of his sword and the fact that he was a squirrel. Well, his toy did have deployable jets. And he would've actually been easier to write in given that Depth Charge and Rampage set the stage for more water-based conflicts.
If Iguanus & Spittor existed into the show, they'd get caught by the wave of the Transmetal II unit and ended up becoming TMIIs themselves as Cheetor. Imagine if Feral Scream was rebooted, one of the stasis pods Megatron was using ends up being a Maximal and sees Cheetor suffering. He takes him in to be his master in order for him to master his new self. Perhaps Prowl can be the one. If its the same Prowl that was once an Autobot, he is reborn a Maximal.
True and Mainframe would have done something creative with those flipping fin panels no doubt, thinking about it there would have been a lot of pods that crashed in the ocean considering how much of the Earth's surface it takes up. Prowl playing on the wise owl idea could really work for a mentor to Cheetor. And I'm glad you mentioned Iguanus organic mode because I would have liked to see him in that form at least before he got upgraded. I prefer original Iguanus over the TM2, Spittor I'm the other way around though I like his TM2 form better. Oh and why didn't you like those guys appearing in RiD?
Let's just say it was my first time seeing recolored transformers used in another show. And about Optimus Minor.... strange. It'd be weird to have two Optimuses or one Optimus turned TMII. Couldn't they change his name to Rodimus instead?
Going with Prowl. Would have been interesting to see how the show approached the character...is he the G1 Autobot reborn or something else? And definitely would have fit the mentor role for Cheetor.
I'm torn between Prowl and Ramulus. I've always really liked both those designs. Awesome in a wonky, strange way.
Seeing Tigatron & Airazor, wish there were more Maximals that appeared on the show. I mean, they could've found some stasis pods and they be scattered and will be called if needed be. For me Polar Claw & Cybershark could've appeared. Forget the repaints: Grimlock & K-9
