230 USD? I'd be surprised since the original went for basically 500 even Chinese sellers like ShowZ. Hoping this is the case tho.

I think those are light reflections, they are pretty shiny.

Edit: These pictures are also posted on TFM official weibo (THEY ARE BACK!!) So I guess they would be very careful about any flaws that might show up in the pictures, since they stopped posting on their site due to a scandal related to "quality control" and other sensitive stuff.

I kinda feel like the Chrome look works for this set, since they're sports cars, and sports cars are known to be pimped out in chrome, ala Need For Speed or Fast and Furious.

At least it makes more sense, compared to say Construction vehicles that are chromed out...

Hmm, have to keep an eye on this. I was eyeballing some of the originals over the last few weeks. If these are actually anywhere near that cheap it might be worthwhile.

 

Just when I thought Dead End could not look any nicer...there is this. While the others look too glossy/shiny like no car ever looks Dead End looks just right. Dragstrip actually has black parts near the rear wheels as it should be with grills.

Hopefully the actually made any fixes to the original releases as well. Could this be the improved that TFM did a crowdfunding for?

Also, I still believe Motormaster should be bigger to make its alt mode in comparison to the rest of the team look better and specially in gestalt mode it looks too small.

But hey, it scales with MP-10  

 

I have Powertrain and used to have the two leg bots as well; Powertrain is fairly decent but tolerances were very off on the two car bots; parts would bump into each other during transformation and the margins of movement between parts were minimal.

While this is a really lovely set, I don't think the electroplating will help any of these issues. If anything, it'll make them worse.
