All of the recent scuttlebutt with numbers like $60 for the set had me raising both eyebrows also. Although, released as two-packs I could see about $50 (which puts them on par with the iGear mini-warriors x2), I doubt we'd see a set of four anywhere near $60. Like you said, much higher is probably closer to reality.

^ THIS. The 2-packs were pretty nice TBH... made nifty little scouts, and targetmaster minicons are fun. The 5-packs, however, blew chunks. So much QC on the 5-packs I've gotten... and the figures look lanky when they're combined.... so blech!

While I can understand their stance... I do question if the PCCs were all that cost effective. I avoided them at first because even 2-packs (Scouts) were selling for the Deluxe price point. 5-packs were what, 25$? Doesn't seem cost effective at all.

I think they could've tried doing something similar to Energon's Gestalts... only with far better hand/feet attachments. But if they didn't put them as box sets... advertise them as customizable combiner teams... not specific sub groups like Stunticons, Combaticons, etc... because well... frustrating for kids to have parts of a team, but miss 1-2 limbs.

Because of hands? Could always resort to shapeways and see if someone has better... maybe something from thedreaded1's Scramble Core thread.

Seeing they're stocking other TFC goodies... I'd say so.

Neat that the fins of the plane conceal a gun. Overall they're great looking limbs. Wonder if they'll make more of these... suppose after initial sales they'll consider it.

Question now is... how much will the limbs cost? Seeing as they're scouts... going 40$ or above would be outrageous. 30$ per limb would be good methinks.

Maybe its me but it just seems meh in my opinion.I mean the Bruticus/combaticons concept seems over used. You would think a third party would do limbs for a different pcc like Huffer/Destron so one could have a not Menasor .

I really wish Hasbro could do this; make a whole team of combiners.
I don’t see why they can’t make 5 fully realized deluxes (even if they’re a couple of dollars more) that combine into a single robot.

That way if some kid gets one as a gift he still has a full vehicle mode and a full robot.
And people that want the whole set can buy the whole set.

Those are pretty sweet. Wish they'd used modern vehicles for the alt modes, but these still look great so I'm not going to complain.

no, we were saying how much it would be if Hasbro released something like this. Not a 3rd party. The argument was that Hasbro used drones so that they can keep the price point around $20. But if they put more effort in and made the limbs transform to bots then the price point may have been $40 or some argue perhaps even $60 at which point not many parents will buy for their kids. But yeah, this set from this 3rd party is going to be around $100 if not more.

I like this idea. That way you've got a plain old bot if that's all Mom can accord, or a combiner if you're a collector and want to go all in. Hence a more fully realized use of the term "Robots (Gestalt in this case) in disguise".

Wow...all say you did! You took it to places I didn't realize these bots could even go and it looks awesome Dreaded! Have you put up a break down recently on how you moded each bot to get them to combine like that?

They don't look bad, but I'm happy with the PCC line as-is and can't justify spending the money on these, since they're likely to be at least $50 for a two-pack of limbs.

This works for me, if the price is right it'll work more. $60 is about my self imposed limit for this set, crossing my fingers! I like the blocky big hands on him because Heavytread is a big blocky figure.

Sorry for my ignorance, is this an add on set like city commander? You would have to have PCC Heavythread then?
