I thought that story was for the UK? This preview makes it very clear that it's NOT associated with the UK continuity at all. (Ultra Magnus comments)

That is what I am thinking. I hope that is not the case though. It would be a shame to waste such a good character as simply being Cliffjumper in disguise.

    Neat!

Wonder how many of those characters will get made into toys. Remember last year's comic featured several characters with strong toy influences that haven't been made yet.

HAHAHAHAH! That we do! I figured I'd run into a few people across the boards, but this is the first time it's happened that I know of :)  It just seemed like too much work to retype the same thing when I had the OTFCC forums open in another window :)

Man, we're all up tonight, aren't we? To reiterate my comments elsewhere, I REALLY hope Bugbite isn't supposed to be Cliffjumper in disguise. Besides, it seems like he's been with this team of 'cons for too long for that to be the case. (Well, longer than Cliffjumper's been missing at any rate, as well as the fact that Magnus has been chasing him for a while.)

Although, the set is called Games of Deception. There's gotta be a twist somewhere.

Does Cliffjumper have the temperment to go undercover like that?

The comic looks good, I'll have to order it from Previews.

Why does everyone keep mentioning Bug-bite's lack of faction symbol? None of the exclusives have them in the pics we've seen. But, it is interesting that Bug-bite has the rub sign in the comic... hmmm

    Looks good. Real good.

I'm wondering about Dreadwind, if the head is the big one or the little one we saw, as well as how his color scheme is going to look in alt mode.

This is the comic you get as part of the set, or is this seperate?

I'm assuming it's with the set, if the last two years are any indication.

Looks like a good comic. I like the little bits of personality between characters. Of course, the various characters which could be potential convention or club toys is entertaining in its own way too.

I was reading and going "Tyrannitron? Who's Tyrannitron? Is that gonna be a repainted minicon or something?" before I figured out that was Snarl's Action Master buddy.

"Don't let him eat anything important", heh

Minor nitpick, but it's definitely too early to assume that, since my understanding is that this is an *additional* comic, not the story that will be in the con brochure, and therefore the appearance of a character, or lack thereof, really means NOTHING as far as whether the toy will be at the con or a club toy, although it's fairly obvious that the repaints and remolds shown are planned to come out somehow.

No, this is the Botcon comic. The "Summer Special" is just a widely released version of the comic with a new cover.

Did Skywarp just call Thundercracker a cracker? j/k

I can't wait for this set. It's TFs like these that keep me collecting. The Movie TFs really haven't done anything for me.

This is correct. The Con edition of the comic includes all of the BotCon info and so on. The Diamond edition will have MTMTE profiles as well as some other extra cool content.

I may have to pick up the coic, since I won't be able to attend botcon or afford the exclusives.
