Like the second custom I made was the thundertank but it was so rough. Now I'm getting a bit better with 3d printing and modelling, I wanted to come back and do the thundertank from scratch but on the way I started at micromaster scale so I could get a feel for transformation options.

So anyway, here's Panthrax, deadliest cat on third earth!

When I first saw the title "Transformers" and "Thundercats" I thought "Thundertank" and I wasn't disappointed.  s up:


(although if you threw a swerve like the Ratstar I wouldn't have opposed that)

 

Must admit, I have a picture of the first pounder open to maybe try a micromaster of next...

Oh man I love this little guy so much! Great work on the transformation, I especially like the way the hands fold out of the wheels in front.

 

Thanks! I'm really happy with how this fella turned out.

I did try just having one piece arms like the other micromasters but because of where the shoulders had to be for tank mode, he had tiny arms. Looked all off.

 

I've just realised I've been staring at a cat face on its chest the whole time!

Amazing detail at a very difficult scale to print!

 

Both cat face, and also flattened thundertank hood too!  

Was going for a dual theme and evoking vehicle mode vibe.

 

It's the tiny little gift that keeps on giving!
