Hello there Transformers fans. I have my idea for a Transformers X Super Sentai plot that would be a smash hit. Here is the intro of the plot: Our new Sentai are three dimensional research scientists who are also BIG Transformers fans. They collect toys, merchandise, the whole 9 yards. Well they wanted to research the Transformers technology first hand. So they open a portal to the world of the G1 Transformers. As they do that, the villians, researchers from a rival lab, burst in and try to steal the dimensional tech for themselves and their own purposes. When they try to steal it, the jostling of the machine sends a dimensional wave that opens rifts in almost every single Transformers universe in their largest battle, causing the Transformers to be sucked into the Sentai universe. The villains manage to steal the dimensional rift maker and got away. Suddenly through the first portal come G1 Optimus Prime and Megatron. And that is how it starts. How do you think? My Idea is that the toys for the limb "mecha" in Japan to have the Sentai ports, the American release to have Combiner Wars ports, and the candy toys to have G1 ports. You guys can help continue the plot/ figure out how it works P.S. I believe the plot twist needs to be that the villains are part of a Cult of Unicron and they are trying to reunite him to being a multiversal singularity.
1. Japan would never do this as Sentai and TF are still owned by rival companies 1.5. If they did, I don't think any Sentai have universal joints. There was Zord Builder in the US but... that wasn't very warmly received 2. Feels a bit too Akibaranger and silly for many to be invested in. I wouldn't take the "fanboys in the universe of their fandom" route. If you were to merge the two series, I'd do what IDW MASK does and have the mecha be offshoots of scavenged gestalt shit from, say, Combiner Wars, with the Rangers as test pilots to give the machines a human element.
Well Hasbro now owns Power Rangers. So that is not much of a stretch to ask for that kind of a crossover. Think Batman X TMNT or Batman X Top Cat (Yes that was a thing). Other crazy crossovers are Archie X Predator, Infestation (Ghostbusters, G.I. Joe, Transformers and Star Trek), Punisher and Eminem, Heck even Spiderman and Ren & Stimpy. So this is not farfetched. Think of the ports from the Ninninger mecha or the ports from Go Onger. If the Shinkenger Ika Tenkuu Buster can connect to Abaranger limb mecha, even though they were 6 Sentais apart (as seen in TokuVN Media Team's showcase of Shinkenger), that should be what they use. It is not Akibaranger as they are Transformers fans instead of Super Sentai fans. Also the mecha are not piloted by the "Rangers". They are piloted by the Transformer the mecha's based off of. My idea is that the Transformers basically become Action Masters until the "Rangers" give them "Morphers", allowing them to transform again. The mecha will look like the Transformers altmode. Megs will have a mecha that looks like his Cybertronian Tank mode while OP will have a G1 Truck and Trailer look. I am also thinking that the Rangers will become basically Headmasters for the main Robo. Prime will become the legs and waist and Megs will become the Arms and upper torso. The combination will be reminiscent of GoOngers main mecha. I also have an idea that they could be animated like the style where they are from, but that may be a stretch and hard to do. Also this is a Crossover Series, not a merging of the 2 series. It won't be very "Gestalt" like, I just like cross compatibility and want the East to buy some western toys, reversing the norm. Also the toys won't have complex electronics to boost pose-ability. Considering that Transformers started as literally a giant mix of many toylines from Japan and South Korea, a crossover is only Logical. P.S. Mind your language.
