I've been on a kick to expand the Transformers x Ghostbusters line outside of just Ectotron. I did Gozer and the Terror Dogs. Stay Puft and Slimer Headmaster And then I started making some Original Characters, like OC GhostHead, to flesh out the team. (His specialty is Ghost traps!) Which bring me to this "on the set" photo from Ghostbusters 2020. And I whipped up this custom figure. I have some upgrade parts coming in and some model powders to try and emulate more of the rusted look. The bigger problem...a name! Shandor is too on the nose for this one isn't it?
Looks cool. I thought a Hoist with the pick up back modded into a ghost trap would be a neat idea. Name Muon. A Modded Prowl called Photonstream, and a modded Inferno (firehouse reference) called Haint.
I love these ideas. As for a name, help us out. What role or function does this guy perform? Any background might give us some ideas for a name. Nice work BTW
That's the thing, aside from the photo from the set of Ghostbusters 2020, I don't know much more about it. To nerd out for the purposes of back story: Ivo Shandor built the building in Ghostbusters finale, they mention it and him during the jail scene that they "never built them like this" with " cold riveted girders with cores of pure selenium"(the building). Long story short, Shandor started the Gozer worshippers cult and had to get the raw material somewhere. In GB2020, the town it takes place in has loads of other Gozer symbology throughout the town, and it points to that area being the focal point for his operations,. Shandor Mining Company being a sort of front to run them and get the materials that he needed makes sense. So of all the vehicles in the movies, this one truck points to the best option to be a Decepticon. Part of me thought it'd be cool if Ivo Shandor possessed it, that said, I don't want to settle to deep into that in-case, once the movie hits, their are more options. The other side of the coin, if you follow the comics, this could be the bot that's trying to bring back Megatron from the dead using Earth magic derived from Shandor to channel their spirits. ♂️
HUH! That clears up a lot about the name. I just thought a part of the movie took place in China. What about Occult for a name, or Seance?
Yeah most of the movie in the fictional town of Summerville, Oklahoma. It looks like that'll be most of the movie there.
A few more updates and he's good to go... This weekend the rust powderc comes in, and next, the extra accessories!

Transformers x Ghostbusters OC Custom Working name: "Shandor", Decepticon Geologist and Construction Bot There we go. Finally got in my XT003 upgrade kit for the truck bed. Waiting on my rust powder this week to put some finishing touches and call it a day! Looking at getting...another Trailcutter to convert it into a Ghostbusters truck counterpoint with an Ecto containment unit for the truck bed cover.
Absolutely awesome work on everything you’ve done so far. The fact that you just keep making more just makes them all even cooler, I’ve been thinking about doing a Generations scaled Ectotron myself, but haven’t decided on a mold as of yet. I think Earthrise Hoist would look really good as this character too.
I was thinking of that too but that's a lot pricier of a base than him (I do have a couple ordered) plus the Siege figures are a real pain to take apart for customs, Earthrise may be worse!
