(I'm also going to put it out in the world that a Bill & Ted phone booth Transformer could be retooled in to a Police Box.)

For no particular reason, why do you ask?

There's one easy way to solve this. Look at the 5mm ports and compare images. Hasbro isn't going to use 7mm ports on one figure.

The mold wasn't upsized. Ectotron is the same size as Onslaught. He may be a bigger scale, but the mold is the same size, that's what I'm getting at. Gigawatt is gonna be the same size as Sideswipe, I guarantee it. You're correct that 5.5 isn't perfectly accurate. It's been a thing for a long time that Hasbro will measure one figure in a size class, round it to the next half inch, and then use the same height for every other figure in the same size class. It's not a perfectly accurate height, but considering its the same height description between the two, I'd say it's safe to assume they haven't upsized the mold at all for Gigawatt

The link was reportedly broken at launch. The official TF pages even acknowledged the technical issues.

If the link went to an "out of stock" page that's one thing, but to hit a page that says "sorry, can't find what you're looking for" ...? Basically a Walmart 404? To the point where folks with the link are STILL trying even this morning, unaware of what transpired and having to be informed no, stop trying, it already sold out.

It was handled very poorly from this standpoint alone...

All that aside, there was no reasonable purchase limit. So yes, I'll blame Hasbro, Walmart, AND scalpers. When people can buy more than 2, that's just feeding the scalpers. And apparently people could buy at least 5, upwards of 10 or 12? People buying 5 or more of these are doing it purely to resell, and they're reselling for $400 plus. That's just stupid.

For an effort that was supposed to be directed at fans, it did nothing but frustrate fans and make the entire ordeal difficult and depressing. NECA did this recently with their online Walmart launch of their Casey Jones/Raph to almost the same result. At least they imposed a max of 2 purchase limit, but they still botched the availability timing and the quantity for sale was laughable (this wasn't a limited edition).

This is supposed to be a fun, enjoyable hobby. Personally, I've had more frustration lately than anything, chasing store exclusives or low stock items and having to beat technical issues, janky start-times, scalpers and their bots. And yet, from other makers, I can easily get their products preordered from many retailers with a click-cart-buy and I'm done. So don't tell me it isn't possible.

Im the wrong guy to pick that arguement with. I was part of a lowrider club in the 90s and was the proud owner of a caprice classic. I attended numerous car shows with Impalas, Oldsmobiles, Ford Galaxies, and 1959 caddilac Eldorados. They were all big cars. But they were by no means this big:

I can't even find it on Walmart's website. Does anyone here have a working link that goes to the product page?

As I said in the above post, they were big, just not that big. The scale is off. Im calling upsize and that the crossover line is going to be MP scaled. MP scale may not be Jada 1:24 or 1:18 scale, but it is definitely more aimed towards car buffs who collect diecast movie replicas.

Is this going to be sold on Hasbro Pulse? If so when will it go up for order?

Why would Hasbro enlarge the ports ? If this is indeed an upsize, then its a highly remolded and modified upsize. Its a given that the ports would stay 5mm just like they did on Earthrise Starscream, another modified upsize.

Not that they'll actually do anything about it, but I did have a lengthy conversation with Ebay this morning about all of those price gouging accounts.

Selling a 25.00 item for 50.00 to make a little money off said item is one thing.
Selling a 30.00 toy in multiple listings for over 1000.00, just makes you an entitled jagbag.
