If they put a US flag on it and just told people "Look, this or nothing, okay? Deal with it." and released it, the ball is in everyone else's court. I get why Hasbro wouldn't do it, but they could. People need to be happy we'll get anything at this point. I'd absolutely take a General Lee with a US flag on it and consider it a fortunate thing.

EDIT: By anything, I mean Transformers at all. Forget tie-ins, those are incredible, but luxuries of any kind? Yeah...

 

Yeah. I'd be happy with a more sleek version of TR Chromedome. As long as the titan master is painted with an orange *life perserver*.

Yeah and it saying the name on it would be just as egregious as the flag...

My hope for the scale would be something like a large deluxe or smallish voyager. I think its important that it scales well alongside Ectotron at the least.

 

Why would you slap the American flag on a dude named after a traitor to it? Wouldn't it be more accurate to replace it with a plain white flag?

 

At that point, and even this quoted post, you (and I mean that both directed at you and the general public) are simply being problematic and ungrateful. Tampos and stickers have been "off" before and people still bought 'em. I mean, c'mon.

Just call it "The General". Seriously, guys, what is up with actively trying to find problems? Real solutions get products, such as what we're discussing, into buyer's hands. I think people just want to be argumentative and look a gift horse in the mouth. I have high doubts we'll ever see a Transformer made of it, but if it did come along, I'd be happy to make those concessions to get it produced. A US flag and the name "The General"? Um, gee. Where do I sign?

Anyway, back on topic, I hope it's bit more involved of a transformation with the BTTF figure than it was for Ectotron. He's a nice figure and his transformation is pretty smooth, but it would be cool to have something happen with the Flux Capacitor and the gull-wing doors.

The following should be TMNT, Sonic the Hedgehog, Godzilla, Blues Brothers, Matrix, Doom, Warhammer 40,000 and of course Voltron himself (unless of course the Japanese are the first to do this).

 

Cant wait to see this. Im echoing the idea for headmasters and target masters of Marty and Doc Brown. Be cool if they incorporate the hoverboard some how.

Pretty stoked about this. A Time DeLorean Transformer has been on my most-wanted list for years.

Bonus points if it features some connection to Heinrad or Vector Prime.

I just hope they go the Ectotron route and give it a proper robot head, and don't make it a robotic Michael J. Fox or something....
